AllTerrain MAIA has no telemetry, license server or service operated by its author.\nMedia browsing, conversion, EXIF reading and the wizard run on your site or\nin your browser. The AVIF codec is bundled and loaded from your own site.<\/p>\n\n
AI alt text is optional. Only after you click \u201cSuggest alt text (AI)\u201d and\nconfirm \u201cSend and draft\u201d are that image's URL, title and caption sent through\nOpenStation to the AI provider configured by your site administrator. That\nprovider may retrieve the image from its URL. No AI request is made by\nopening a window or scanning the library. Review the selected provider's\nterms and privacy policy in your site's AI provider configuration before\nsending media. AllTerrain MAIA does not choose or configure a provider.<\/p>\n\n

Are folders physical directories?<\/h3><\/dt>\nNo. Folders organize attachments with a WordPress taxonomy. Filing an image does\nnot move its file or change its URL. Create a top-level folder beside any existing\nroot, or select a folder and choose New subfolder to nest it.<\/p><\/dd>\n
What happens when I delete a folder?<\/h3><\/dt>\nOnly the folder is deleted, after an OpenStation confirmation. Its media remains\nin the library and its child folders move up one level.<\/p><\/dd>\n
Does replacement keep existing links working?<\/h3><\/dt>\nSame-format replacements keep the attachment ID and URL. Changing format changes\nthe file extension and URL. AllTerrain MAIA does not rewrite existing embedded URLs; review\nthose links after converting in place. Previous originals are kept as versions.<\/p><\/dd>\n
Can I convert HEIC and AVIF on any host?<\/h3><\/dt>\nHEIC intake requires an Imagick installation that can read HEIC. Server-side\nconversion uses the formats available through Imagick or GD. For supported\nfallbacks, AllTerrain MAIA uses browser canvas encoding or its bundled AVIF WebAssembly codec.<\/p><\/dd>\n
Will the wizard delete duplicates or generate alt text automatically?<\/h3><\/dt>\nNo. The wizard reports duplicates for you to review and only applies the fixes\nyou select. Alt text needs a human review. Optional AI suggestions require a\nseparate, explicit confirmation for each image; see External services below.<\/p><\/dd>\n
What happens if I deactivate or uninstall AllTerrain MAIA?<\/h3><\/dt>\nDeactivation leaves your data in place. Uninstall removes AllTerrain MAIA's folder terms,\nsaved collections, settings and saved version files. Current media attachments\nand their active files remain. Export any versions you want to keep first.<\/p><\/dd>\n\n<\/dl>\n\n\n
