you, then displays them as a clean accordion on the front end.<\/p>\n\n<p>Two generation modes are available:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Product\/Service Description<\/strong> \u2014 describe what you offer and get relevant FAQs generated instantly.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Current Page Content<\/strong> \u2014 automatically reads the content of the page the widget is placed on (including Elementor-built pages) and generates FAQs grounded strictly in that content, with no invented facts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Key features:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Native Elementor widget with live, in-editor FAQ generation.<\/li>\n<li>Accordion-style front-end display.<\/li>\n<li>FAQs are stored as part of the widget's own settings \u2014 no extra database tables, and regenerating is as simple as clicking the button again.<\/li>\n<li>Configurable OpenAI model and a per-user hourly rate limit to control API usage.<\/li>\n<li>Built with a provider-registry architecture so additional AI providers can be added without touching the widget or AJAX code.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>An OpenAI API key (configured under Settings \u2192 AI FAQ Generator) is required to generate FAQs.<\/p>\n\n<h3>External services<\/h3>\n\n<p>This plugin connects to third-party AI providers to generate FAQ questions and answers. It does not work without a valid API key for at least one of these services, entered by you under Settings \u2192 AI FAQ Generator.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>OpenAI<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>This plugin sends the text you provide (either your typed product\/service description, or the extracted text content of the current page, depending on the generation mode you choose) to the OpenAI API, so that OpenAI can generate FAQ questions and answers from it. This request is made only when you click the \"Generate FAQs\" button, and includes your own OpenAI API key for authentication. No data is sent automatically or in the background.<\/p>\n\n<p>This service is provided by OpenAI, L.L.C.: <a href=\"https:\/\/openai.com\/policies\/terms-of-use\">Terms of Use<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/openai.com\/policies\/privacy-policy\">Privacy Policy<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<!--section=installation-->\n<ol>\n<li>Upload the <code>faqaura-ai-faq-generator-elementor<\/code> folder to the <code>\/wp-content\/plugins\/<\/code> directory, or install the plugin zip via Plugins \u2192 Add New \u2192 Upload Plugin.<\/li>\n<li>Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' screen in WordPress.<\/li>\n<li>Go to Settings \u2192 AI FAQ Generator and enter your OpenAI API key.<\/li>\n<li>Edit any page with Elementor, drag the \"AI FAQ Generator\" widget onto the page, choose a generation source, and click Generate.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<!--section=faq-->\n<dl>\n<dt id=\"do%20i%20need%20an%20openai%20api%20key%3F\"><h3>Do I need an OpenAI API key?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes. FAQ generation is performed server-side using your own OpenAI API key, which you enter under Settings \u2192 AI FAQ Generator. The key is never exposed to the front end.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"does%20this%20work%20with%20page%20builders%20other%20than%20elementor%3F\"><h3>Does this work with page builders other than Elementor?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>The FAQ widget itself is an Elementor widget. When using \"Current Page Content\" mode on an Elementor-built page, the plugin reads the page's actual rendered Elementor content rather than an empty or placeholder <code>post_content<\/code> field.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"will%20it%20invent%20faqs%20that%20aren%27t%20supported%20by%20my%20page%3F\"><h3>Will it invent FAQs that aren't supported by my page?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. In \"Current Page Content\" mode, the AI is explicitly instructed to use only the supplied page content and to return fewer than the requested number of FAQs (rather than inventing information) if the page doesn't support that many.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"how%20often%20can%20i%20generate%20faqs%3F\"><h3>How often can I generate FAQs?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Generation is rate-limited per user per hour.
