The plugin keeps your\nproducts in sync with the Zilco service and embeds a chat widget on your storefront, so\nvisitors can ask questions in their own words and get answers grounded in your actual\nproducts, prices, stock, and categories.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>This plugin requires an account on the Zilco service (zilco.ai) to work.<\/strong> See the\n\"External services\" section below for exactly what data leaves your site and when.<\/p>\n\n<h4>What it does<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Full catalog sync.<\/strong> Push every product \u2014 including drafts and private products, which\nare sent as inactive \u2014 to Zilco on demand from the settings screen, on an hourly WP-Cron\nschedule, or from an external cron service via a token-protected endpoint.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Incremental sync.<\/strong> When you create, edit, trash, restore, or delete a product, or when\nits stock changes, only that product is re-sent. Multiple edits within one request are\ncollapsed into a single update.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Simple and variable products.<\/strong> Variations are sent as variants of their parent product,\nwith their own SKU, price, stock, and attribute values.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rich mapping.<\/strong> Titles, descriptions, categories, brands, attributes, images, GTIN\/MPN,\nweight and dimensions, sale prices, and availability are mapped for you.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Storefront chat widget.<\/strong> A small loader script is added to your theme's head. On a\nproduct page it tells the assistant which product the visitor is looking at.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Built for large catalogs.<\/strong> Batched requests, request pacing, automatic retries on rate\nlimits, database keepalive, and object cache flushing between batches. On hosts that\nsupport it, the cron endpoint responds immediately and finishes the sync in the background\nso reverse proxies never time out.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>What it does not do<\/h4>\n\n<p>The plugin never writes to your products. It reads catalog data and sends it to Zilco. It\ndoes not touch orders, customers, or any personal data of your shoppers.<\/p>\n\n<h3>External services<\/h3>\n\n<p>This plugin relies on Zilco, a third-party software-as-a-service platform operated by\nSIGNITIVE SRL, to index your catalog and to generate assistant replies. The plugin is not\nuseful without it. Nothing is transmitted until you enter your Zilco API keys and explicitly\nenable catalog sync or the storefront widget in the plugin settings; both options are\ndisabled by default.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Service:<\/strong> Zilco \u2014 https:\/\/zilco.ai\n<strong>Terms of use:<\/strong> https:\/\/zilco.ai\/service-terms\n<strong>Privacy policy:<\/strong> https:\/\/zilco.ai\/service-privacy<\/p>\n\n<h4>Catalog sync (api.zilco.ai)<\/h4>\n\n<p><em>What is sent:<\/em> product data from your store \u2014 product and variation IDs, SKU, GTIN and MPN,\nname, short description and description, permalink, image URLs, categories, brands,\nattributes, price and sale price, currency, stock status and quantity, weight and dimensions,\npublish status, and last-modified date. Your site's locale and the plugin version are sent\nwith each request, and your secret API key is sent as the request credential.<\/p>\n\n<p><em>When it is sent:<\/em> only while <strong>Enable catalog sync<\/strong> is on \u2014 when you click <strong>Run full\nsync<\/strong>, when the hourly WP-Cron event runs (if you enable it), when the token-protected cron\nendpoint is called, and whenever a product is created, updated, trashed, restored, deleted,\nor has a stock change.<\/p>\n\n<p><em>What is not sent:<\/em> no order, customer, user, or site-visitor personal data is included in\ncatalog sync requests.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Storefront chat widget (chat.zilco.ai)<\/h4>\n\n<p><em>What is sent:<\/em> while the widget is enabled, every storefront page load requests a loader\nscript from <code>chat.zilco.ai<\/code>, which means visitors' browsers contact Zilco directly and Zilco\nreceives the usual request metadata (IP address, user agent, referring page). Your public\nwidget key, the site locale, and \u2014 on product pages \u2014 the ID of the product being viewed are\npassed to the widget. If a visitor opens the chat, the messages they type are sent to Zilco\nto be answered.<\/p>\n\n<p><em>When it is sent:<\/em> on every storefront page view while <strong>Enable chat widget<\/strong> is on.<\/p>\n\n<p><em>Browser storage:<\/em> the widget sets no cookies, but it stores a chat session pointer in the\nvisitor's browser local storage so a conversation can be resumed. It expires after 7 days of\ninactivity.<\/p>\n\n<p>Because the widget causes your visitors' browsers to contact a third party and stores data in\ntheir browser, you should mention Zilco in your own site's privacy and cookie notices before\nenabling it. Zilco's platform privacy notice, including its sub-processors, is at\nhttps:\/\/zilco.ai\/service-privacy<\/p>\n\n<!--section=installation-->\n<ol>\n<li>Install and activate WooCommerce 8.0 or newer.<\/li>\n<li>Upload and activate this plugin.<\/li>\n<li>Create a site in your Zilco dashboard and copy its secret sync API key (<code>sk_\u2026<\/code>) and\npublic widget key (<code>pub_\u2026<\/code>).<\/li>\n<li>In WordPress, go to <strong>WooCommerce \u2192 Zilco<\/strong> and paste the keys.<\/li>\n<li>Tick <strong>Enable catalog sync<\/strong> and\/or <strong>Enable chat widget<\/strong>. Both are off until you\nturn them on, and nothing is sent to Zilco before that.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Run full sync<\/strong> to push your catalog for the first time.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<!--section=faq-->\n<dl>\n<dt id=\"do%20i%20need%20a%20paid%20zilco%20account%3F\"><h3>Do I need a paid Zilco account?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>You need a Zilco account. The plugin itself is free and does not require payment to install\nor use, but it cannot function without the Zilco service.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"can%20i%20use%20the%20plugin%20for%20sync%20only%2C%20without%20the%20chat%20widget%3F\"><h3>Can I use the plugin for sync only, without the chat widget?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes. Catalog sync and the storefront widget are separate settings. Enable either one, both,\nor neither. If you only want sync, leave the widget off and embed the widget yourself, or not\nat all.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"are%20drafts%20and%20private%20products%20sent%20to%20zilco%3F\"><h3>Are drafts and private products sent to Zilco?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes, but flagged as inactive so the assistant never recommends them. This is deliberate: if\nunpublished products were skipped entirely, unpublishing a product in WooCommerce would leave\nit visible in the assistant.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"my%20catalog%20is%20large%20and%20the%20full%20sync%20times%20out.%20what%20should%20i%20do%3F\"><h3>My catalog is large and the full sync times out. What should I do?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Use the cron URL shown on the settings screen with an external cron service. On hosts with\nPHP-FPM the endpoint answers immediately and continues in the background. You can poll\nprogress by adding <code>&amp;status=1<\/code> to that URL, and clear a stuck lock with <code>&amp;unlock=1<\/code>.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"do%20prices%20include%20tax%3F\"><h3>Do prices include tax?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>By default yes. There is a setting to send prices excluding tax if that matches how you\ndisplay prices.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"is%20high-performance%20order%20storage%20supported%3F\"><h3>Is High-Performance Order Storage supported?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes. The plugin declares HPOS compatibility. It never reads or writes orders.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"what%20happens%20when%20i%20uninstall%20the%20plugin%3F\"><h3>What happens when I uninstall the plugin?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>All plugin options, including your API keys and the cron token, are deleted, and the\nscheduled sync event is removed.
