Restock Mail does that one job, and shows you whether the mail actually left the server.<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Out of stock product: a form on the product page (\"Notify me when back in stock\").<\/li>\n<li>You restock: waiters are emailed automatically (WooCommerce Action Scheduler, same system as order emails).<\/li>\n<li>WooCommerce \u2192 Restock Mail: each signup is <strong>waiting<\/strong>, <strong>queued<\/strong>, <strong>sent<\/strong>, or <strong>failed<\/strong>, with the error if it failed.<\/li>\n<li>Send a test email from that screen before you open the waitlist.<\/li>\n<li>Unsubscribe link in every restock email (also List-Unsubscribe for Gmail). One click deletes that address from the list.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The plugin does <strong>not<\/strong> send mail through Shuudev. Mail goes out from the shop, with the shop's WordPress \/ SMTP setup. If WordPress cannot send mail, the log says <strong>failed<\/strong> instead of pretending it worked.<\/p>\n\n<p>Requires WooCommerce.<\/p>\n\n<!--section=installation-->\n<ol>\n<li>Install and activate WooCommerce.<\/li>\n<li>Install Shuudev Restock Mail for WooCommerce (Plugins \u2192 Add New, or upload the zip).<\/li>\n<li>Activate it.<\/li>\n<li>WooCommerce \u2192 Restock Mail \u2192 send a test email. If it fails, install an SMTP plugin (WP Mail SMTP, FluentSMTP, etc.) and test again.<\/li>\n<li>Put a product out of stock. The waitlist form appears on the product page.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<!--section=faq-->\n<dl>\n<dt id=\"the%20restock%20email%20did%20not%20arrive\"><h3>The restock email did not arrive<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Open WooCommerce \u2192 Restock Mail. If the row is <strong>failed<\/strong>, WordPress could not send mail. Configure SMTP on the site, use <strong>Send test email<\/strong>, then <strong>Retry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>If the row is <strong>queued<\/strong>, WooCommerce Action Scheduler has not run yet. On a normal shop it runs on its own (same as order emails). You can also use <strong>Send queued now<\/strong>.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"do%20i%20need%20to%20set%20up%20a%20server%20cron%3F\"><h3>Do I need to set up a server cron?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. The plugin uses WooCommerce Action Scheduler. You do not add a crontab to install it.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"is%20this%20gdpr-friendly%3F\"><h3>Is this GDPR-friendly?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Shoppers type their email to ask for one restock notice. That address stays on <strong>your<\/strong> WordPress site, not on Shuudev's servers. The restock email includes an unsubscribe link; clicking it removes the address from the list. Mention the waitlist in your shop privacy policy.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"does%20it%20work%20with%20variable%20products%3F\"><h3>Does it work with variable products?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes.
