AdminGrip keeps menu organization in the existing WordPress admin sidebar.<\/p>\n\n

There is no separate menu editor and no settings screen.<\/p>\n\n

  2. Drag a top-level menu item by its grip.<\/li>\n

    The order is autosaved for you only on that site. Reset it at any time.<\/p>\n\n

    AdminGrip does not rename, hide, reveal, or change permissions for menu items. Submenu ordering is not part of version 0.1.1.<\/p>\n\n

    Keyboard usage<\/h3>\n\n

    Enter arrangement mode and focus a menu item's grip button.<\/p>\n\n

    • Alt + Arrow Up moves the item one movable position up.<\/li>\n
    • Alt + Arrow Down moves the item one movable position down.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

      Keyboard moves use the same autosave path as drag and drop. WordPress accessibility announcements report movement and save results.<\/p>\n\n

      Data and uninstall<\/h3>\n\n

      Reset clears the current user's site-specific admingrip_menu_order<\/code> preference.<\/p>\n\n

      Version 0.1.1 intentionally does not perform broad user-meta deletion during uninstall because safe multisite-wide cleanup would add disproportionate risk. Use Reset before uninstalling when preference cleanup is desired.<\/p>\n\n\n

      2. Activate AdminGrip through the Plugins screen.<\/li>\n

        No. The preference belongs only to the current user on the current site.<\/p><\/dd>\n

        Does this change permissions?<\/h3><\/dt>\n

        No. AdminGrip only reorders menu items WordPress already exposes to the current user.<\/p><\/dd>\n

        What happens when I install another plugin?<\/h3><\/dt>\n

        Its menu remains available. AdminGrip never removes newly discovered menu items.<\/p><\/dd>\n

        Can I reorder submenus?<\/h3><\/dt>\n

        Not in version 0.1.1.<\/p><\/dd>\n

        Does it run on the front end?<\/h3><\/dt>\n

        No. AdminGrip loads its assets only in the normal WordPress site admin.<\/p><\/dd>\n\n<\/dl>\n\n\n
