This plugin relies on an external service to render the widget and to supply live prices: Currency.Wiki<\/strong>, operated by CurrencyWiki Technologies LLC.<\/p>\n\nWhat the service is and what it is used for<\/strong><\/p>\n\nThe widget is drawn by a small JavaScript widget hosted at widget.currency.wiki<\/code>, which reads cryptocurrency prices from a CDN-cached quotes file at cdn.currency.wiki<\/code>. The plugin does not bundle that script or the price data; it builds an embed URL and loads them from the service. This is what keeps the plugin small and lets prices stay current without a plugin update.<\/p>\n\nWhat data is sent, and when<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n- On every page view where the widget is displayed<\/strong>, the visitor's browser requests the widget script from
https:\/\/widget.currency.wiki\/crypto\/v3\/script.js<\/code>, and then the price file from https:\/\/cdn.currency.wiki\/crypto\/quotes.json<\/code>. The script request carries the display settings you configured (style, theme, accent color, coin list, quote currency, language) as URL parameters, plus a source=wp<\/code> marker indicating the request came from the WordPress plugin. As with any web request, the visitor's IP address and user agent are visible to the server.<\/li>\n- No personal data is collected, and no cookies are set.<\/strong> Prices are public market data; nothing about your visitor is sent beyond the ordinary contents of an HTTP request.<\/li>\n

How often do prices update?<\/h3><\/dt>\nPrice data is refreshed on the server every 15 minutes, and each widget re-checks for new prices every few minutes in the visitor's browser.<\/p><\/dd>\n
Which coins are supported?<\/h3><\/dt>\nOver 60 of the top cryptocurrencies by market cap, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, BNB, Dogecoin, Cardano, TRON, Chainlink, Litecoin, and more. Unknown symbols are ignored safely.<\/p><\/dd>\n
Can I show prices in my local currency?<\/h3><\/dt>\nYes. The ticker, list, and coin card can display prices in USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, INR, BRL, RUB, TRY, or IDR. The converter also converts crypto to crypto.<\/p><\/dd>\n
Does it slow down my site?<\/h3><\/dt>\nNo. The widget loads asynchronously and is only a few kilobytes. It does not block page rendering.<\/p><\/dd>\n
Does it collect any data?<\/h3><\/dt>\nNo. The widget sets no cookies and collects no personal data from your visitors.<\/p><\/dd>\n
Is this financial advice?<\/h3><\/dt>\nNo. Prices are informational only, aggregated from public market data, and can lag the live market. Always verify prices on an exchange before trading.<\/p><\/dd>\n
