The obligation comes from OUG 34\/2014 as amended by OUG 18\/2026, and\nit carries a fine of 5,000 to 15,000 lei. <strong>SkyServers Retragere din Contract<\/strong>\nadds that function and keeps the evidence that it was honoured.<\/p>\n\n<p>On activation the plugin creates a public page carrying the form. A customer\nfills it in, confirms, and receives an acknowledgement by email containing the\nexact wording of their declaration and the moment it was submitted. The same\ndeclaration is filed in a register inside the WordPress admin, where it can be\nread, searched and produced during an inspection.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Who this is for<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Any Romanian online store selling to consumers at a distance, whether or not\nit runs WooCommerce.<\/li>\n<li>Stores whose returns policy already exists on paper but has no digital\nfunction behind it, which is exactly what the law added.<\/li>\n<li>Shops that would rather not explain to an inspector why a customer's\nwithdrawal has no record.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>What it does<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A public page with the form<\/strong>, created on activation, reachable without an\naccount. The link can go in the footer or the menu.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The legally required minimum<\/strong>: name, identification of the contract, and\nthe electronic address the acknowledgement goes to. Nothing more is asked.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A distinct confirmation button<\/strong>, separate from the rest of the form.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A timestamped record<\/strong> of every declaration, holding the wording exactly as\nit was submitted rather than a summary of it.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Two emails<\/strong>, both in HTML and plain text: the acknowledgement the law\nrequires, sent to the consumer, and a notification to the store.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A register in the admin<\/strong>, with the state of each request and whether the\nacknowledgement was handed to the mail system.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A notice about the article 16 exceptions<\/strong>, shown on the form and repeated\nin the acknowledgement, so a customer is told before they send that unsealed\ngoods may not be returnable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>With WooCommerce<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>A logged-in customer picks the order from a list instead of typing its number.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Partial withdrawal<\/strong>: the customer chooses which products, and how many of\neach, rather than withdrawing from the whole order.<\/li>\n<li>Products already covered by an earlier request are shown as unavailable, with\nthe reason.<\/li>\n<li>Guests who ordered without an account can look their order up by number and\nemail; if the lookup fails, the request is still recorded from what they typed.<\/li>\n<li>An optional button on the order page, and on the orders list if you enable it.<\/li>\n<li>Digital products can be excluded, and the exclusion is a setting rather than\nan assumption, because the article 16 exception for digital content is\nconditional.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>Compatibility<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Works with or without WooCommerce. Without it, the form accepts a free-form\ndeclaration.<\/li>\n<li>Compatible with WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS).<\/li>\n<li>Does not configure mail delivery of its own. It uses the WordPress mail\nfunction, so whatever SMTP the site already has applies automatically.<\/li>\n<li>Sends nothing anywhere. Every record stays in your database.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h4>Translations<\/h4>\n\n<p>Source strings are English. A Romanian translation ships with the plugin. The\ndeclaration itself, the legal information notice and the article 16 warning are\ndeliberately fixed in Romanian: they are the legally operative wording and must\nnot change with the site locale.<\/p>\n\n<!--section=faq-->\n<dl>\n<dt id=\"does%20this%20replace%20my%20store%27s%20legal%20documentation%3F\"><h3>Does this replace my store's legal documentation?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. Return policy, terms and conditions, delivery policy, privacy policy and\npre-contractual information remain the merchant's responsibility. This plugin\nimplements one specific technical function.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"are%20the%20records%20deleted%20when%20i%20uninstall%3F\"><h3>Are the records deleted when I uninstall?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. Records are evidence and are kept by default. Deletion is an explicit\nsetting.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"does%20the%20plugin%20send%20data%20anywhere%3F\"><h3>Does the plugin send data anywhere?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. Everything stays on your site.
