It contacts Zens AI only after an administrator enters a Zens AI Site ID and explicitly enables the connection.<\/p>\n\n<h4>Features<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Add the Zens AI support widget sitewide.<\/li>\n<li>Show or hide the floating chat launcher.<\/li>\n<li>Let anonymous visitors choose whether to leave an email for follow-up.<\/li>\n<li>Optionally identify logged-in WordPress users with an HMAC-signed profile.<\/li>\n<li>Keep the signing secret in <code>wp-config.php<\/code> instead of the WordPress database.<\/li>\n<li>Keep session recording disabled by default.<\/li>\n<li>Add suggested Zens AI wording to the WordPress Privacy Policy Guide.<\/li>\n<li>Follow the active WordPress locale in plugin settings and the page language in the customer support widget.<\/li>\n<li>Remove all plugin settings when the plugin is deleted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>You need a Zens AI account and a Site ID to use this plugin. Zens AI is a hosted software service; the service may offer free and paid plans independently of this plugin.<\/p>\n\n<h3>External service<\/h3>\n\n<p>This plugin connects to the Zens AI service at <code>https:\/\/zens.ai<\/code> to provide customer support chat, visitor context, and the optional features selected by a site administrator.<\/p>\n\n<p>No request is made to Zens AI merely by installing or activating the plugin. Requests begin only after an administrator saves a Site ID and enables Zens AI.<\/p>\n\n<p>When enabled, the service may receive:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Page URL and title, referrer, browser language, and UTM source.<\/li>\n<li>Anonymous visitor and browser-session identifiers stored in the visitor's browser.<\/li>\n<li>Presence, pageview, and chat activity.<\/li>\n<li>Chat messages and attachments submitted by the visitor.<\/li>\n<li>An email address the visitor chooses to provide for follow-up.<\/li>\n<li>If signed identity is enabled: the logged-in user's stable WordPress identifier, display name, email address, and registration date.<\/li>\n<li>If session recording is enabled: visitor interactions and visible page content captured for support purposes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Zens AI uses this information to deliver the support service selected by the site administrator. Copy the one-time signing secret from Zens AI and add it above the \"stop editing\" line in <code>wp-config.php<\/code>:<\/p>\n\n<pre><code>define( 'ZENS_AI_SIGNING_SECRET', 'cc_secret_xxxxxxxxxx' );\n<\/code><\/pre>\n\n<p>Then enable <strong>Signed identity<\/strong> under <strong>Settings \u2192 Zens AI<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>The secret is used only on the WordPress server to create an HMAC-SHA256 signature. It is not stored in the plugin settings or included in the public page.<\/p>\n\n<!--section=faq-->\n<dl>\n<dt id=\"does%20the%20plugin%20send%20data%20as%20soon%20as%20i%20activate%20it%3F\"><h3>Does the plugin send data as soon as I activate it?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. The connection is disabled by default. The plugin loads the external service only after an administrator adds a Site ID and explicitly enables Zens AI.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"is%20the%20site%20id%20secret%3F\"><h3>Is the Site ID secret?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. The Site ID is a public identifier included in the browser SDK configuration. The signing secret is private and must remain in <code>wp-config.php<\/code>.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"is%20session%20recording%20enabled%20automatically%3F\"><h3>Is session recording enabled automatically?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. The WordPress plugin blocks session recording by default. An administrator must enable it in WordPress, and it must also be enabled for the site in Zens AI.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"can%20i%20use%20chat%20without%20sharing%20wordpress%20user%20profiles%3F\"><h3>Can I use chat without sharing WordPress user profiles?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes. Anonymous customer support works without signed identity. Sharing the logged-in user's profile is a separate option and is off by default.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"where%20can%20i%20update%20my%20privacy%20policy%3F\"><h3>Where can I update my privacy policy?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>WordPress includes suggested Zens AI wording under <strong>Settings \u2192 Privacy \u2192 Policy Guide<\/strong>. Review and adapt that text for the options you enable and your legal requirements.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"can%20a%20developer%20control%20where%20the%20widget%20loads%3F\"><h3>Can a developer control where the widget loads?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes. Use the <code>zens_ai_customer_support_should_load<\/code> filter to disable the widget on selected requests.
