There is no dashboard to learn, no feed builder, and no account to create with us.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>How it works<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>You connect Reely to Instagram using <strong>your own Instagram app<\/strong>, which you create once in Meta for Developers. That means:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Your access token is stored in your own database, on your own hosting.<\/li>\n<li>Your Reels are fetched by your site directly from Instagram.<\/li>\n<li>Nothing passes through our servers, and we never ask for your Instagram password.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Setting up the Instagram app takes a few minutes and the plugin walks you through it. Default 20.<\/li>\n<li><code>columns<\/code> \u2014 videos per row on desktop. Default 5.<\/li>\n<li><code>speed<\/code> \u2014 auto-scroll interval in milliseconds. Default 3000.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>Third-party service<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Reely connects to the Instagram Graph API, a service provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., using credentials that you supply. Your site talks to these endpoints directly:<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li><code>https:\/\/api.instagram.com\/oauth\/access_token<\/code> \u2014 exchanges the login code for an access token.<\/li>\n<li><code>https:\/\/graph.instagram.com\/access_token<\/code> \u2014 upgrades it to a long-lived token.<\/li>\n<li><code>https:\/\/graph.instagram.com\/refresh_access_token<\/code> \u2014 renews the token before it expires.<\/li>\n<li><code>https:\/\/graph.instagram.com\/me\/media<\/code> \u2014 reads your own media.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>By connecting, you agree to Meta's terms. Instagram requires every site to connect through an app, and Reely uses one that belongs to you rather than a shared one. It takes a few minutes to create, the settings page walks you through it, and you only do it once. The upside is that your connection is genuinely yours: your token stays on your server and nothing routes through a third party.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"does%20reely%20store%20my%20instagram%20password%3F\"><h3>Does Reely store my Instagram password?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. You log in on Instagram's own screens. Reely only ever receives an access token, and that token is stored in your site's database.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"how%20often%20does%20the%20feed%20update%3F\"><h3>How often does the feed update?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Every 15 minutes, through WP-Cron. You can also press <strong>Refresh videos now<\/strong> on the settings page at any time.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"will%20my%20connection%20expire%3F\"><h3>Will my connection expire?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. Instagram's long-lived tokens last 60 days, and Reely renews yours automatically before that, so the connection keeps working.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"will%20it%20slow%20my%20site%20down%3F\"><h3>Will it slow my site down?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Videos are not loaded until they are about to scroll into view, and the CSS and JavaScript are only loaded on pages where the shortcode actually appears.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"does%20it%20work%20with%20my%20theme%20or%20woocommerce%3F\"><h3>Does it work with my theme or WooCommerce?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>If you can open your template, post, or product page in the editor and paste a shortcode into it, Reely will run there.
