Funds never sit in a Rampex wallet: Rampex takes a flat 1% platform fee (on top of the payment provider's fee) and the balance is forwarded to your own self-custodial, EVM-compatible wallet in the same settlement transaction — 0% settlement risk for you. USDC on Polygon is the default settlement configuration, not the only option.

Your customers pay the way they already trust — credit and debit cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay, SEPA and direct bank transfer — plus 25+ more methods such as iDEAL, Klarna, Revolut, PayPal, UPI and Interac.

This is the official plugin for the Rampex payment service. Rampex and Rampex.io are names of the Rampex service operated at rampex.io, and this plugin is published and maintained by that same service. A free Rampex account is required to use the plugin; account signup, API keys and payouts are handled at rampex.io. See the terms and privacy policy.

The plugin does not ship a fixed list of payment methods. On each store it fetches the providers that are currently live on your Rampex account and registers one WooCommerce gateway per provider, so new providers appear in WooCommerce → Settings → Payments automatically as Rampex brings them online.

Key features

No KYB, instant approval — start accepting payments immediately. No rolling reserves, no chargebacks, no account freezes, no payment holds.

Instant on-chain settlement — every payment settles straight to your self-custodial EVM wallet (USDC on Polygon by default). Funds never sit in a Rampex wallet.

Flat 1% platform fee — on top of the payment provider's fee. No setup fee, no monthly fee, no hidden fees.

Automatic provider list — one gateway instance per active Rampex provider, refreshed from the Rampex API. No plugin update needed when a provider is added or removed.

Block and classic checkout — supports both the Cart & Checkout Blocks and the classic shortcode checkout.

HPOS compatible — full support for WooCommerce High-Performance Order Storage.

Signed webhooks — payment notifications are verified with HMAC-SHA256 over the raw body using the
X-Rampex-Signature
header.

Per-gateway branding — set a custom Icon URL, title, and checkout description on any gateway.

Test Connection — validate your Rampex API key from the gateway settings screen before going live.

Market-fit descriptions — each provider ships with a default checkout description naming the regions it serves best, editable per store.

Supported payment methods

Customers pay by credit or debit card, Google Pay, Apple Pay, SEPA and direct bank transfer — plus 25+ more methods. The available methods depend on what is enabled for your Rampex account. Typical routes include:

Hosted Checkout — a secure Rampex-hosted payment page (or your own branded checkout domain on whitelabel accounts).

Cards and wallets — Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and similar, via the routed providers.

Europe — Revolut, iDEAL, Klarna, SEPA, Sofort, Bancontact, Giropay.

India — UPI / IMPS.

Canada — Interac.

United States — Stripe, PayPal, Robinhood.

On/off-ramp partners — MoonPay, Transak, Banxa, Ramp Network, Simplex, Utorg, Sardine, Transfi, Guardarian, Topper, Bitnovo, Particle, Binance.

Currency support varies by provider: some are single-currency (for example Revolut in EUR, Klarna in SEK, UPI in INR, Interac in CAD), while most others are multi-currency. Whatever currency the customer pays in, settlement goes to your self-custodial EVM wallet — USDC on Polygon by default.

How it works

Install and activate the plugin.

Go to WooCommerce → Settings → Payments and enable the Rampex gateway(s) you want.

Paste your Rampex API key into each gateway you enable and press Test Connection.

Customers pick a Rampex payment method at checkout and complete payment with the selected provider.

The payment settles on-chain to the default wallet configured on your Rampex account — automatically, in the same settlement transaction, minus the flat 1% platform fee.

Whitelabel: Master Merchant Program

Any merchant can apply for the Rampex Master Merchant Program and operate a fully whitelabeled payment gateway on their own domain: branded checkout pages, branded plugin downloads for their sub-merchants, email sent from their own domain, and a 0–10% fee share charged to their sub-merchants. Sub-merchants never see Rampex branding.

External services

This plugin connects to the Rampex payment service to validate your API key, look up the payment providers enabled on your account, convert order totals, and create the payment link a customer is sent to. It is required for the plugin to function: without Rampex there is no payment processing.

Requests are made to the following endpoints, all operated by Rampex:

API key validation —
https://api.rampex.io/api-validate-key

Sent: the Rampex API key you entered. This removes the raw infrastructure URL from the plugin source and aligns the "External services" disclosure with the endpoints actually called.

Improved: the hosted gateway's "API Base URL" setting is now editable (defaults to https://api.rampex.io) to support white-label deployments with custom API subdomains.

3.4.0

Fixed: provider icons, the checkout stylesheet and the block-checkout script could load over http:// on an HTTPS store, causing mixed-content warnings and broken icons. Previously the AJAX handler was only attached when WooCommerce enumerated payment gateways, which does not always happen during admin-ajax requests.

3.3.7

Fixed: Revolut, Stripe, and Simplex now use bundled PNG icons instead of SVG in WooCommerce gateway mappings to avoid theme/security-plugin SVG handling issues.

Improved: keeps the SVG files bundled for direct access, but checkout and WooCommerce Payments now load PNG fallbacks for these three providers.

3.3.6

Improved: internal packaging fixes for branded builds.

3.3.5

Fixed: rebuilt the weak/tiny bundled provider icons as complete WooCommerce-sized 70x48 assets, including Revolut, Ramp Network, Sardine.ai, Transak, Utorg, Binance, PayPal, and Robinhood.

Verified: the plugin ZIP now ships a normalized provider icon set so checkout and WooCommerce Payments list icons render visibly at the expected size.

3.3.4

Fixed: replaced the Revolut SVG with a larger, high-contrast WooCommerce-sized icon so it remains visible in the Payments list and checkout at small sizes.

3.3.3

Fixed: renamed plugin folder to
rampex-payment-gateway
to avoid collision with WooCommerce core during install.

3.3.2

Fixed: hosted checkout now reads the saved custom Icon URL after WooCommerce settings load, so merchant-entered URLs always override the default Card.svg icon.

Fixed:
https://rampex.io/paymentmethods.png
is treated as a valid merchant custom Icon URL when saved, not ignored as a legacy default.

Fixed: Revolut, Stripe, and Simplex bundled SVGs now ship as complete WooCommerce-sized 70x48 card icons.

3.3.1

Fixed: missing provider icons (Revolut, Stripe, Simplex, and other SVG marks) on the WooCommerce Payments admin list.

Fixed: custom "Icon URL" not refreshing on the block-based checkout after saving in the modern React settings screen.

Improved: gateway constructor now guards against an empty saved icon wiping the bundled fallback.

3.3.0

Maintenance release: internal packaging and release-metadata improvements.

3.2.9

Fixed broken payment-provider icons on checkout and in WooCommerce → Settings → Payments (Stripe, Revolut, PayPal, Robinhood, Simplex, Sardine.ai, Transak, ramp.network, Utorg now show correctly).

Custom "Icon URL" set per gateway now reliably appears on both the classic and block checkout, with automatic cache-busting on save.

Added a "Payment Settings" shortcut on the WordPress Plugins page linking directly to WooCommerce → Payments.

3.2.5

Fixed branded webhook signature header detection in WooCommerce.

Added compatibility for branded checkout-domain payment links.

3.2.4

Improved webhook secret handling for copied secrets and branded gateway settings.

Normalized WooCommerce webhook tester URLs.

3.1.0

Full rebrand to Rampex identity.

Updated compatibility: WordPress 6.9, WooCommerce 10.6.1.

Minimum PHP version raised to 7.4.

Minimum WordPress version raised to 6.4.

Minimum WooCommerce version raised to 8.0.

Added WooCommerce block checkout (Cart & Checkout Blocks) support.

Added HPOS (High-Performance Order Storage) compatibility.

Improved gateway description and plugin metadata.

Added plugin readme documentation.

Accept cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and 25+ methods with instant settlement to your own wallet.
