The saved-address selector appears in both the classic checkout and the\nblock checkout, and the premium per-product destinations work in both too.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"does%20an%20address%20have%20to%20be%20a%20billing%20or%20a%20shipping%20address%3F\"><h3>Does an address have to be a billing or a shipping address?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. There is one address book, and any saved address can be used for billing, for\nshipping, or for both. Each address can be marked as the default for billing and\nfor shipping independently, so the address you use for both does not have to be\nsaved twice.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"i%20already%20use%20%22woocommerce%20multiple%20customer%20addresses%20%26amp%3B%20shipping%22.%20do%20my%20customers%20lose%20their%20addresses%3F\"><h3>I already use \"WooCommerce Multiple Customer Addresses &amp; Shipping\". Do my customers lose their addresses?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. Each customer's saved addresses are converted the first time their address\nbook is read, so there is nothing to run and nothing to time. The conversion\nalso fixes something the old plugin could not: an address saved once for billing\nand again for shipping becomes a single entry usable for both, and an address\nthat matches one already saved here is merged into it rather than added twice.<\/p>\n\n<p>The old data is never deleted. It stays exactly where it was, so going back to\nthe previous plugin leaves you with everything you had.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"i%20am%20coming%20from%20%22woocommerce%20multiple%20customer%20addresses%20%26amp%3B%20shipping%22.%20is%20everything%20i%20use%20here%3F\"><h3>I am coming from \"WooCommerce Multiple Customer Addresses &amp; Shipping\". Is everything I use here?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Almost. The address book, the checkout selectors, per-product destinations, split\nshipping and the admin-side tools are all here, several of them rebuilt and\nimproved.<\/p>\n\n<p>The one thing deliberately left out is the <strong>VAT \/ tax ID field<\/strong>. It was never\nreally part of an address book, and there are dedicated plugins that do it\nproperly \u2014 including our own.
