It has no\nbuilt-in destination and contacts nothing until you configure one: you enter\nthe URL of your own NabuDesk installation, plus a token issued by that\ninstallation, under NabuDesk \u2192 Settings. Until both are set, the plugin makes\nno outbound requests at all.<\/p>\n\n<p>Because the destination is a server you choose, the operator of that server \u2014\nnot this plugin \u2014 determines how the data is stored, retained and protected.\nIf you are using a NabuDesk instance run by someone else, ask them for their\nterms and privacy policy before connecting a production site.<\/p>\n\n<p>What is sent, and when. Only the event types you leave enabled are sent, and\nthree of them include personal data \u2014 they are marked below so you can decide\nbefore you switch them on.<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Posts<\/strong> \u2014 ID, title, status, post type, permalink, author ID, modified\ntime, and the first 55 words of the content as an excerpt.<\/li>\n<li><strong>WooCommerce products<\/strong> \u2014 ID, name, SKU, price, regular and sale price,\nstock status and quantity, status, permalink and category names.<\/li>\n<li><strong>WooCommerce orders<\/strong> <em>(personal data)<\/em> \u2014 ID, status, total, currency,\npayment method, customer ID, <strong>the billing email address<\/strong>, and each line\nitem's name, quantity and total.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Comments<\/strong> <em>(personal data)<\/em> \u2014 ID, the post commented on, <strong>the author's\nname<\/strong>, approval state, and the first 40 words of the comment. Comments\nmarked as spam are not sent.<\/li>\n<li><strong>User registration<\/strong> <em>(personal data)<\/em> \u2014 the new user's ID, display name,\n<strong>email address<\/strong> and roles.<\/li>\n<li><strong>On \"Test connection\" and when settings are saved<\/strong> \u2014 your site URL, the\nWordPress and plugin versions, and an inventory of the post types,\ntaxonomies and hooks the site has, so NabuDesk can offer them when you build\nrules. No content is included.<\/li>\n<li><strong>With every request<\/strong> \u2014 an Authorization header carrying your site token,\nand a User-Agent string containing the plugin version and your site URL.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Nothing is sent on a schedule, and this plugin collects no analytics or usage\ndata of its own. Passwords, password hashes and site options are never\ntransmitted. The opt-in database conditions read only whether rows exist and\nhow many, never their values.<\/p>\n\n<p>Deactivating the plugin stops all outbound requests. Uninstalling additionally\nremoves the plugin's own settings, rules and queued deliveries from your\ndatabase \u2014 it does not delete anything already received by the NabuDesk\ninstance, which you must remove there.<\/p>\n\n<!--section=installation-->\n<ol>\n<li>Upload the <code>nabudesk-connector<\/code> folder to <code>\/wp-content\/plugins\/<\/code>.<\/li>\n<li>Activate the plugin.<\/li>\n<li>In NabuDesk, open Channels \u2192 WordPress for your business and generate a site token.<\/li>\n<li>In WordPress, open the top-level <strong>NabuDesk<\/strong> menu \u2192 Settings, enter your NabuDesk URL and the token, then use \"Test connection\".<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<!--section=faq-->\n<dl>\n<dt id=\"where%20do%20i%20get%20the%20token%3F\"><h3>Where do I get the token?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>In NabuDesk, open Channels \u2192 WordPress for your business and generate a site\ntoken. Each site or brand should use its own token so you can revoke or scope\nthem independently.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"does%20sending%20events%20slow%20down%20my%20site%3F\"><h3>Does sending events slow down my site?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. Events are queued during the request and delivered after the response, with\nautomatic retry and backoff. A failed delivery is retried and, if it keeps\nfailing, surfaced in the admin rather than lost silently.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"what%20are%20%22rules%22%3F\"><h3>What are \"rules\"?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>A rule binds any hook on your site to conditions and sends a custom event to\nNabuDesk when they match \u2014 for example \"when a WooCommerce order reaches\n    completed, send <code>order.completed<\/code>\". Build them under NabuDesk \u2192 Rules.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"what%20are%20database%20conditions%20and%20are%20they%20safe%3F\"><h3>What are database conditions and are they safe?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Off by default. When enabled, a rule can test row existence or count against\nnon-sensitive tables.
