Anthropic (claude-sonnet-4-6) is an excellent alternative. Both use the same translation prompt.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"are%20translations%20cached%3F\"><h3>Are translations cached?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>Yes. Every unique translation is cached indefinitely in your WordPress database. You can clear the cache at <strong>Settings \u2192 Mandarin Helper<\/strong>.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"what%20is%20the%20character%20limit%20per%20translation%3F\"><h3>What is the character limit per translation?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>500 characters per request.<\/p><\/dd>\n\n<\/dl>\n\n<!--section=changelog-->\n<h4>1.0.34<\/h4>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Fix: POST \/translate's rate limit (10 requests\/minute) previously exempted every logged-in user entirely, so any authenticated account (e.g. a Subscriber on a site with open registration) had unlimited calls to this billable AI-translation endpoint.
