If you manage stock quantity, set it to 0 <strong>and<\/strong> set \"Allow backorders\" to \"Do not allow\" \u2014 otherwise the product is \"on backorder\" (still purchasable) and no form is shown. The form appears when a shopper selects an out-of-stock variation, and only that variation's customers are notified when it comes back.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"does%20it%20require%20any%20external%20service%2C%20api%20key%2C%20or%20account%3F\"><h3>Does it require any external service, API key, or account?<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>No. The waitlist is stored on your own site and emails are sent by WordPress. There is no third-party service and nothing is sent off your site.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt id=\"my%20customers%20aren%27t%20receiving%20the%20restock%20emails.\"><h3>My customers aren't receiving the restock emails.<\/h3><\/dt>\n<dd><p>This is almost always because WordPress can't send email reliably without SMTP. Install and configure any SMTP mailer.
