The plugin makes no requests to Digital Stride's servers at all and runs no analytics of ours — the single exception is the optional setup registration described at the end of this list, which sends nothing unless you tick a consent box. For each service you can see what it is used for, what data is sent and when, and links to its terms and privacy policy.

IndexNow — api.indexnow.org
Used to tell participating search engines (Bing, Yandex, Naver, Seznam.cz) about new and updated content. Once you have opted in, publishing or updating a post or page sends that content's public URL and your site's generated IndexNow key to the service, and a key file is published at the root of your site to prove you own the domain. No personal data and no site statistics are sent. Microsoft operates api.indexnow.org. This is entirely optional and off by default: nothing is stored or sent unless you tick a consent checkbox, and you can skip the step entirely — the plugin works identically either way. It is not an API call or a tracking beacon; it is a single plain-text email sent from your own site with WordPress's
wp_mail()
, at the moment you finish the wizard, and never again. Each checkbox scopes what that email contains: the marketing box sends only the name, email, and company you typed on that step, plus your site's URL and title. The second box additionally sends the business profile you entered earlier in the wizard — business name and type, phone, address, service areas, opening hours, and social profile URLs. Tick neither and no email is sent and nothing is stored. ECHO SEO is made by Digital Stride, a d/b/a of Experience 1st, LLC — the company these details are sent to.
