Default Values for Attachments gives you the ability to include default titles, captions or descriptions for every image uploaded using the Media Uploader.<\/p>\n

You can still set individual values for field of every image. And you can unset defaults anytime.<\/p>\n\n\n

  1. Upload to the \/wp-content\/plugins\/<\/code> directory<\/li>\n
  2. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress<\/li>\n
  3. Go to Media -> Default Values on your Dashboard<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

    Why can't i set Alternate Text?<\/h4>\n

    Alternate texts are used by screen readers to replace the image you're using, so it's really not a good practice to give it a default value, although a value should be provided for every non-decorative images.<\/p>\n

    Also, the filter hook used to set the defaults can't, at this point, take information pertaining to the wp_postmeta db table.<\/p>\n\n\n
