WP Retina allows you to easily integrate (handmade) retina graphics into your Wordpress website<\/p>\n\n\n

This section describes how to install the plugin and get it working.<\/p>\n\n

  1. Upload wp-retina<\/code> to the \/wp-content\/plugins\/<\/code> directory<\/li>\n
  2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins<\/code> menu in WordPress<\/li>\n
  3. Create your images in the retina size (and add -2x<\/code> to the image name)<\/li>\n
  4. Make sure you have rewrites activated (wp-admin\/options-permalink.php<\/code>)<\/li>\n
  5. (optional) Add width and height property to all images <img><\/code> and css<\/code> (which is a recommended practice)<\/li>\n
  6. (optional) Change the simulate_retina<\/code> boolean in the javascript to simulate retina mode to check all the images<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n

    No, you have to create the \"2x\" size artwork yourself<\/p><\/dd>\n

    Will this generate more work for the server<\/dt>\n

    Yes, every image request goes through a .htaccess rewrite to a php file which returns the image. This takes a little bit more work than just serving the image.<\/p><\/dd>\n\n<\/dl>\n\n\n
