Easily embed slideshows of your Flickr photosets<\/a>\nin your posts and pages with this Flickr set slideshows<\/strong> plugin.<\/p>\n\n

Once you have linked your Flickr account to the plugin (see Plugin Setup section),\ncreating a slideshow of one of your Flickr photosets is as easy as choosing the set and the slideshow's dimensions from a drop down list.\nYou can then embed the slideshow anywhere in your posts or pages by copying and pasting a shortcode<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

When you create or edit a slideshow, Flickr set slideshow will provide you with an instant preview.<\/p>\n\n

Plugin Setup<\/h3>\n\n

To link the plugin to your Flickr account:<\/p>\n\n

  1. Get your Flickr screen name; You can find your screen name on your Flickr account page http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/account<\/code><\/a>, under 'Your screen name',<\/li>\n
  2. Get a Flickr API Key; the following Youtube video will tell you how: http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Lq1XRx6dsDU<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Go to your Wordpress dashboard,<\/li>\n
  4. Go to Settings<\/code> > Flickr set slideshows<\/code><\/strong>,<\/li>\n
  5. Enter your Flickr screen name and API key,<\/li>\n
  6. Click Save changes<\/code><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

    The plugin is now ready to use.<\/p>\n\n

    User guide<\/h3>\n\n

    To create a new slideshow<\/h4>\n\n

    From your Wordpress dashboard,<\/p>\n\n

    1. Go to Flickr Set Slideshows<\/code> > Add new<\/code><\/strong>,<\/li>\n
    2. Select a photoset from the drop down list,<\/li>\n
    3. Select a size for your slideshow,<\/li>\n
    4. Click Save changes<\/code>,<\/li>\n
    5. A confirmation message will appear at the top of the screen with a shortcode following the format [fsg_gallery id=\"XX\"], where XX is a number.\nCopy and paste this shortcode wherever you want the slideshow to appear in your posts and pages.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

      To insert a slideshow into a post or page<\/h4>\n\n

      On creating a slideshow, you will receive a short code following the format [fsg_gallery id=\"XX\"], where XX is a number. Copy and paste this code\nin the page or post where you want the slideshow to appear.<\/p>\n\n

      You can come back to the shortcode later, it will be saved in your slideshow listing at Flickr set slideshows<\/code> > Flickr set slideshows<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n

      To edit\/remove a slideshow<\/h4>\n\n

      You can do this from your slideshow listing located at Flickr set slideshows<\/code> > Flickr set slideshows<\/code><\/strong><\/p>\n\n

      Note the deleting a slideshow will remove it from the posts and pages in which you have inserted it.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

      To change the size of a slideshow, simply click on the change size<\/code> link of the corresponding slideshow, choose a new size from the drop down list and Voila!<\/p>\n\n\n

      The easy way<\/h4>\n\n

      1. Download the plugin - it will come as a .zip file<\/li>\n
      2. Log in to your Wordpress dashboard<\/li>\n
      3. Go to Plugins > Add new<\/strong><\/li>\n
      4. Under the Install Plugins<\/code> header, click Upload<\/code><\/li>\n
      5. Click the Choose File<\/code> button, browse your computer to find the .zip file downloaded at step 1, click Install now<\/code><\/li>\n
      6. Click the Activate plugin<\/code> link<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

        1. Download the plugin .zip file<\/li>\n
        2. Unzip the file<\/li>\n
        3. Upload the flickr-set-slideshows<\/code> directory to the \/wp-content\/plugins\/<\/code> directory<\/li>\n
        4. Activate the plugin through the Plugins<\/code> menu in WordPress<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n

          Some of my Flickr photosets are not appearing in my set list. Why?<\/dt>\n

          Only the sets that are public can be used by this plugin. Private sets (which is any set that contains at least one private picture) will not be returned by Flickr to be publicly displayed as a slideshow.\nMake sure that all the sets you want to show in your website are public. If the problem persists, please get in touch (see below).<\/p><\/dd>\n
