## Description

Wiplink is the free edition of Divi Connect. It links your **AI** to your **Divi
5** website through a secure connector, so you can design and publish real Divi
pages just by chatting.

It works with **Claude** (claude.ai and Desktop), **Claude Code**, **ChatGPT** (
developer mode), **Codex**, **Gemini CLI and Antigravity**, and **any other MCP
app** such as Cursor, Cline or Zed. Pick yours on the Connection screen and it shows
you the exact steps for that app.

Every release is listed at [divilove.com/changelog](https://divilove.com/changelog/).

Your AI reads your site’s actual **design system** – global colors, font and gradient
variables, and module presets – and builds pages that use _your_ tokens, on-brand,
then publishes them live. No copy-pasting JSON, no leaving the conversation.

#### How it works

Wiplink gives your AI the _tools_ to build on your site, and the free **Divi 5 Skill**–
which teaches it _how_ to write valid, on-brand Divi 5 – is **built into the connector**,
so there is nothing extra to install. It loads automatically on connection.

 1. Install Wiplink and copy your connector URL from **Wiplink → Connection**.
 2. Choose your app on that screen and follow the steps shown for it.
 3. Ask it to build a page – it reads your design system, plans the layout, and publishes
    it to your site.

#### Free features

 * Build and publish Divi 5 pages with any supported AI app
 * Read your design system (colors, font and gradient variables, presets)
 * Read your site’s real **Divi module schema** so pages are built with the correct
   settings, not guesses
 * Use your **color and gradient variables** on-brand in generated pages
 * Delete pages
 * Works with claude.ai (free accounts too), Claude Desktop, Claude Code, ChatGPT,
Codex, Gemini CLI, Antigravity and other MCP apps

#### The Professional plugin

**Divi Connect Professional** is a separate plugin. It adds:

 * **Writing to your design system from the chat** – your AI can create and edit
   colors, variables and presets
 * **The size scale** – a fluid spacing and type scale your pages stay linked to,
and a screen that reconnects older pages to it
 * **Theme Builder** templates (headers, footers, post templates)
 * **Global layouts** and **WooCommerce** cart and checkout pages
 * **Figma import**, **project memory**, **Design DNA** and flavour export/import
 * **Menus and site settings** – your AI builds navigation menus and sets the homepage,
   site title and tagline
 * **Multisite networks** – this plugin runs on single WordPress sites

#### Documentation

A complete setup and usage guide – installing, connecting your AI, building pages
and troubleshooting – is available at [divilove.com](https://divilove.com/).

#### Translating

Every admin screen of the plugin can be translated. What your AI reads – the connector’s
tool descriptions, the built-in Divi 5 Skill – stays in English on purpose, so the
AI behaves the same in every language.

 * Once the plugin is listed, translations are made on [translate.wordpress.org](https://translate.wordpress.org/)
and arrive on your site as ordinary language packs, with nothing to install.
 * Until then, or to work offline, the template file ships in the plugin’s `languages/`
folder (the `.pot` file); open it in Poedit or Loco Translate, save the `.po`/`.
mo` pair for your locale next to it, and WordPress picks it up.

#### External services

Wiplink is an interface to an AI assistant that you already use. The plugin itself
does not send your content to any AI service. Your AI app connects **to your site**(
over the connector URL and key shown on the Connection screen) and reads or writes
only what you ask it to; that traffic is governed by the terms of the AI app you
connect – for example [Anthropic’s](https://www.anthropic.com/legal/consumer-terms)
for Claude, [OpenAI’s](https://openai.com/policies/terms-of-use) for ChatGPT and
Codex, or [Google’s](https://policies.google.com/terms) for Gemini – and you can
close that door at any time with the AI access switch on the Home screen.

The plugin makes outbound requests of its own in these cases only:

 * **Draft pictures** – by default nothing is sent anywhere: the AI’s page draft
is photographed in your own browser, automatically while a Wiplink screen is
open, or with one button on Home. Only if you switch on _Photograph drafts without
asking me_ and configure a render service is the draft (or its temporary address)
sent to that service to be photographed.
 * **The layout library** – the free catalog of ready-made sections is fetched from
our own server, [divilove.com](https://divilove.com/), when you open the Layouts
screen or your AI lists layouts (the same files are published in a public GitHub
repository). Only the catalog files are requested; nothing about your site is
sent beyond the plugin version in the request’s user-agent string. Divi Love’s
[terms of service](https://divilove.com/terms/) and [privacy policy](https://divilove.com/privacy/)
   apply.
 * **Sign in with WordPress, when an app identifies itself by address** – some AI
apps (Claude, for one) identify themselves with a web address that holds their
sign-in details, a Client ID Metadata Document. When such an app connects, this
site fetches that one small JSON file from the app maker’s server, checks it,
and keeps it for up to a day. Nothing about your site is sent.
 * **Images your AI adds by URL** – when your AI builds a page with a picture at
a web address, the plugin downloads that file into your media library. Only the
address you gave it is fetched.
 * **A reference page your AI imports** – when you ask your AI to use a web page
as a reference, the plugin fetches that one address once, reads its structure
and text, and stores nothing from it on any other server. Only the address you
   named is fetched.
 * **Google Fonts, on the Design screen** – the font picker and the flavour canvas
load a font family from [Google Fonts](https://fonts.google.com/) (fonts.googleapis.
com) so you can see it before choosing. Your browser makes that request when
you open the picker or preview a flavour; the plugin sends nothing else ([Google terms](https://policies.google.com/terms),
   [privacy policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy)).
 * **A help video thumbnail on Home** – the Home screen shows the cover image of
a short YouTube walkthrough, loaded by your browser from i.ytimg.com, which sets
no cookies; the video itself plays only when you press it ([YouTube terms](https://www.youtube.com/t/terms),
   [privacy policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy)).

## Installation

 1. Upload the plugin’s folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install it via Plugins
→ Add New → Upload Plugin.
 2. Activate the plugin.
 3. Go to **Wiplink → Connection** and copy your **connector URL**.
 4. Choose your app on that screen – Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, Gemini CLI
and Antigravity, or any other MCP app – then choose how it signs in: **Sign in
with WordPress** (each person gets their own connection, ended from the same screen)
or the **connector key** (one shared key inside the address). The exact steps for
that app and that route appear below your choice.
 5. Every sign-in shows up under **Connected people** on the same screen, with a Revoke
button beside it. Ending one connection signs that app out and leaves the others
    working.

If your AI offers a choice of OAuth client when you add the connector, either works:
the option that reads the app maker’s hosted client details (Claude recommends this
one) or the option that registers a client automatically. Both end in the same Allow
screen. 5. Start a chat and ask for a Divi page. The **Divi 5 Skill** is built into
the connector, so your AI already knows how to write valid, on-brand Divi 5 – there
is nothing else to install.

Requires the **Divi 5** builder (Divi 5.7 or later).

## FAQ

### Which AI apps does it work with?

Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop), Claude Code, ChatGPT in developer mode, Codex,
Gemini CLI and Antigravity, and any other app that speaks MCP – Cursor, Cline and
Zed among them. The Connection screen has a panel for each with its own setup steps.

### Do I need to install the Divi 5 Skill separately?

No. Since version 1.7.0 the **Divi 5 Skill is built into the connector** – your
AI loads it automatically when it connects, and it always matches your plugin version.
There is nothing extra to install, and it works everywhere, including free claude.
ai accounts.

The Skill is also published on its own at [divilove.com](https://divilove.com/divi5-skill/)
as a free, open-source download. That is optional – useful if you want it loaded
in your client for work outside this plugin.

### Does it work with a free Claude account?

Yes. Free claude.ai accounts can add the connector and build pages.

### Does my site need to be publicly reachable?

For cloud apps such as claude.ai and ChatGPT, yes – the connector URL must be reachable
over HTTPS. For apps running on your own machine, such as Claude Code, Codex or
Gemini CLI, a local site works too.

### Is it secure?

Each site has its own secret connector key, shown in Settings → Wiplink. You can
regenerate it at any time, which instantly invalidates the old one.

### What can a connected AI do on my site?

It acts as its own WordPress user, with its own limited role – never as an administrator.
You create that user with one click on the Connection screen. It can create, edit
and delete pages, posts and projects, add images to the media library, and change
your Divi design settings (colours, fonts, presets). It cannot install or change
plugins or themes, manage users, change WordPress settings such as the site title,
homepage or menus, edit files, or store scripts, stylesheets or custom CSS in a
page. Switch AI access off on the Home screen, or delete the AI user on the Users
screen, at any time.

### Does it work on WordPress Multisite?

No. This plugin runs on single WordPress sites; on a multisite network it does not
load and says so on the Plugins screen.

### Does it require Divi 5?

Yes. Wiplink targets the Divi 5 builder (5.7+).

### Can I use it in my language?

Yes. The admin screens are fully translatable: once the plugin is listed, translations
come from [translate.wordpress.org](https://translate.wordpress.org/) as language
packs, and the `.pot` template in the plugin’s `languages/` folder lets you translate
it yourself in the meantime. What the AI reads stays in English so it behaves the
same everywhere.
