Open any item, write the missing text yourself or ask for an AI draft, review it, and apply it. Every change is saved with the value it replaced, so you can undo it with one click. **What is free and stays on your site** * Scan posts, pages and WooCommerce products for missing SEO titles, meta descriptions and image alt text. * Edit the values by hand, apply them, and see them in the fix history. * One-click undo. The plugin will not overwrite a value that was changed after it wrote it. * Works with **Yoast SEO** and **Rank Math** (it reads and writes the fields they use). With no SEO plugin active, it stores and prints the title and description itself. * Fixes alt text both in the media library and in images already inserted into a post. **Optional: AI drafts** If you want suggestions written for you, the optional **Draft with AI** button uses the Winking Toad service. It is off until you add a plugin key and tick a consent box. AI drafts spend usage credits; a one-time welcome credit is included, and you are not charged for a draft that fails. Nothing is ever applied automatically: you review and edit every suggestion first. **What it does not do** * It does not promise rankings, traffic or indexing. * It does not change anything without your click on “Apply changes”. * It shows no ads and no “powered by” links on your site. * It does not track visitors and adds nothing to your public pages when Yoast SEO or Rank Math is active. ### External services This plugin can connect to one external service, **Winking Toad** (winkingtoad.com), but only for the optional “Draft with AI” feature. The scan, manual editing, fix history and undo never contact any server. **What the service is used for:** writing suggested SEO titles, meta descriptions and image alt text for one item at a time. **When data is sent:** only when a site administrator has (1) entered a plugin key and (2) ticked the consent box in _Winking Toad Settings_, and only at the moment someone clicks **Draft with AI** on an item. Nothing is sent in the background, on activation, or on a schedule. **What is sent for that item:** the item’s title, its type (post, page or product), the name of its first category, a plain-text excerpt of its content (at most 1,200 characters), and, for images without alt text, the image file names and attachment IDs. Your plugin key is sent to identify the account and charge credits. No visitor data, no user data, no site address and no email addresses are sent. The service does not store the submitted text; it is used once to build the request and discarded, and only a credit-ledger entry is kept. **Service provider:** Winking Toad, https://winkingtoad.com. Terms of service: https:// winkingtoad.com/terms. Privacy policy: https://winkingtoad.com/privacy-policy. The service passes the request to an AI model provider (OpenAI, with Google Gemini or Anthropic only as backups) to produce the draft; see the privacy policy for details. ## Screenshots [⌊The scan lists posts, pages and products with missing SEO titles, meta descriptions or image alt text.⌉⌊The scan lists posts, pages and products with missing SEO titles, meta descriptions or image alt text.⌉[ The scan lists posts, pages and products with missing SEO titles, meta descriptions or image alt text. Install the plugin from **Plugins Add New**, or upload the ZIP, and activate it. 2. Open **Winking Toad** in the admin menu. The scan works straight away. 3. Optional AI drafts: create a free key at https://winkingtoad.com/wordpress-plugin, then paste it into **Winking Toad Settings** and tick the consent box. ## FAQ ### Does it work with Yoast SEO and Rank Math? Yes. If Yoast SEO or Rank Math is active, the plugin reads and writes the same fields those plugins use. If no SEO plugin is active, the plugin stores the title and description itself and prints them on your posts and pages. ### What if I use another SEO plugin? All in One SEO, SEOPress and The SEO Framework store their data differently. With one of those active, the plugin still finds and fixes missing image alt text, but does not touch SEO titles or descriptions. ### Is anything sent to your servers without my say-so? No. The plugin only contacts winkingtoad.com after you add a key and tick the consent box, and only when you click **Draft with AI**. See “External services” above. ### Do I need to pay? The scan, manual editing, history and undo are free. Only AI drafts use credits. A one-time welcome credit is included. ### Can I undo a change? Yes. Open **Winking Toad History** and click **Undo**. If the value was changed again after the plugin wrote it, the plugin leaves it alone and tells you. ### What happens to my data when I delete the plugin? The plugin removes its own settings and its history table. Titles, descriptions and alt texts you applied stay. If you relied on the plugin to print titles and descriptions (no SEO plugin active), install an SEO plugin before deleting it. ## Reviews There are no reviews for this plugin. ## Contributors & Developers “Winking Toad SEO Fixer” is open source software.
