Members can request profile verification from their own profile, while site administrators can review requests, approve or reject them, revoke verification, and configure the verified badge. The plugin keeps verification status in WordPress user metadata and provides controls for the profile screen, member directory, authors, and comments. #### Features * Member profile verification requests. * Administrator approval, rejection, verification, and revocation. * Configurable badge icon, color, size, and tooltip. * Verified badge support for member profiles and member names. * Verified indicators for WordPress authors and registered comment authors. * Verification status in the WordPress Users screen. * BuddyPress and BuddyBoss profile integration. ### Privacy The plugin stores verification status, request status, and related administrative timestamps as WordPress user metadata. Site administrators control whether a member is verified. The plugin does not send this data to an external service. ## Installation 1. Upload the plugin ZIP through Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, or install it from the WordPress.org Plugins Directory after approval. 2. Activate WebCrew Profile Verification for BuddyPress and BuddyBoss. 3. Open Profile Verification in the WordPress administration area to configure the badge and review verification requests. 4. Logged-in members can request verification from the Verify Account profile tab. ## FAQ ### Does this plugin require BuddyPress? The member verification request interface requires BuddyPress or a compatible BuddyBoss installation. WordPress author and comment badge integrations can still use the stored verification status. ### Can administrators revoke verification? Yes. Administrators can verify members and revoke verification from the Profile Verification administration screen. ### Can members request verification themselves? Yes. Logged-in members can submit a verification request from their own BuddyPress or BuddyBoss profile. ### What data does the plugin store? The plugin stores verification status, verification request status, and related timestamps as WordPress user metadata.
