When you are ready, connect your own WhatsApp number and messages go out under your store’s name, with no per-message charge from us. Your customers read WhatsApp. They do not read order emails. This plugin sends your WooCommerce order notifications on WhatsApp, asks cash on delivery buyers to confirm before you ship, and brings back shoppers who leave at checkout. #### Order notifications on WhatsApp Turn each message on or off with a switch: * **Order confirmation** when an order is placed, separate for prepaid and cash on delivery orders. * **Order shipped** when the order status changes to Completed, with the tracking number when you use a shipment tracking plugin. * **Order delivered** when the order reaches a Delivered status (from a shipping or custom status plugin). * **Review request** three days after the order is completed (off by default). Messages use WhatsApp’s approved order templates and show your product photo or store logo at the top. #### COD verification on WhatsApp Fake and impulse cash on delivery orders cost you shipping both ways. With COD verification on, every cash on delivery order gets a WhatsApp message with **Confirm Order** and **Cancel Order** buttons: * **Confirm** adds a note to the order and marks it “COD confirmed” in your Orders list, so your team ships with confidence. * **Cancel** cancels the order in WooCommerce (stock goes back automatically) and the buyer gets a confirmation. A new **WhatsApp** column in the Orders list shows who confirmed, who cancelled and who has not replied yet. #### Abandoned cart recovery on WhatsApp When a shopper types their phone number at checkout and leaves without ordering, the plugin waits (30 minutes by default) and sends one WhatsApp reminder. The link in the message **rebuilds their cart, coupons included,** and opens checkout. Works with both the classic checkout and the block checkout. Orders that come back through a reminder get an order note. #### WhatsApp chat button (no account needed) A floating WhatsApp button on every page. Shoppers tap it and a chat with you opens, with a message already typed (it can include the page they were on). Choose left or right, desktop and mobile, with or without a label. #### Order on WhatsApp button (no account needed) An **Order on WhatsApp** button under Add to cart. It opens a chat with the product name, the chosen options, quantity and price filled in, so you can take orders in WhatsApp. Optional button on the cart page sends the whole cart. Nothing is sent until the store owner clicks** Connect** on WooCommerce WhatsApp. The chat button and the Order on WhatsApp button do not use WALoops: they only open a link to wa.me (WhatsApp) in the shopper’s browser when tapped. After you connect, this data is sent to WALoops: * **When you connect:** your email address, your WhatsApp number, your site’s address and name, and the address WALoops calls to update orders. Used to create your WALoops account and link this store to it. * **When an order is placed and when its status changes:** the order number and ID, status, totals, currency, payment method, the customer’s name, email, phone number, billing and shipping address, the items ordered, coupon codes, shipment tracking details if present, and your store logo and product image addresses. Used to send the customer the matching WhatsApp message and to show the order in your WALoops dashboard. * **When a checkout is abandoned (only if abandoned cart reminders are on):** the shopper’s phone number, name and email as typed at checkout, the cart items, total, coupon codes and a link that restores the cart. Sent once, after the delay you choose, only if no order was placed. * **When you open the settings screen or change a switch:** your site’s address and the message switch you changed. WALoops calls back to this site (a signed request to `/wp-json/waloops-wa/v1/order- action`) only to add a note to an order or cancel it, when the customer taps Confirm or Cancel on a COD verification message. Install and activate the plugin (WooCommerce must be active). 2. Go to **WooCommerce WhatsApp**. 3. On **Order messages**, enter your email and WhatsApp number and click **Connect for free**. Your WALoops login is emailed to you. 4. Turn on the messages you want. COD verification, order confirmation, shipped, delivered and abandoned cart are on by default. 5. Optional: set up the **Chat button** and **Order on WhatsApp** tabs. These work without connecting. When your 100 free messages are used, click **Connect your own WhatsApp number** and follow the steps in your WALoops dashboard. Sending moves to your number by itself once Meta approves your message templates. ## FAQ ### Is it free? The plugin is free. Order messages start with 100 free messages from the WALoops WhatsApp number. After that, connect your own WhatsApp number: WALoops adds no per- message charge on your own number, and Meta bills its own conversation charges to your WhatsApp Business account. The chat button and the Order on WhatsApp button are free and need no account. ### Do I need the WhatsApp Business API or a Meta developer account? Not to start. The first 100 messages go out from the WALoops number. To use your own number, you connect it from your WALoops dashboard with Meta’s guided sign-up; no developer account or code needed. ### Which number do customers see? Until you connect your own number, messages come from the WALoops WhatsApp number and show your product photo or logo. With your own number connected, messages come from your number and name. ### How does COD verification work? When an order is placed with Cash on Delivery, the customer gets a WhatsApp message with Confirm Order and Cancel Order buttons. Confirm adds an order note and marks the order “COD confirmed” in the Orders list. Cancel cancels the order, unless it has already moved past Processing or On hold, in which case a note tells your team instead. ### Which payment method counts as cash on delivery? WooCommerce’s built-in Cash on Delivery gateway (`cod`). Every other gateway gets the prepaid order confirmation. ### Can I change the message wording? The default messages use templates WhatsApp has already approved, so they work from day one. Once your own number is connected, you can create your own templates in your WALoops dashboard and pick them for each message under Connections. ### Why did a customer not get a message? Usually the phone number is missing or has no country code. The plugin adds your store’s country code to numbers typed without one. Each send and its result is listed in your WALoops dashboard under Connections Runs. ### Does it work with the block checkout and HPOS? Yes, both. ### Does it slow down checkout? No. Orders are sent in the background by WooCommerce’s Action Scheduler, after checkout has finished. ### I connected WooCommerce to WALoops before with REST API keys.
