## Description

Vakaro automatically imports the job postings of your Coveto account and publishes
them as pages on your own website, without manual copy and paste.

**Features**

 * Custom post type “Coveto Jobs” with single job pages at `/job/job-title/` (no
   archive page).
 * Automatic import via WP-Cron: every hour, every 2, 4 or 8 hours, daily, weekly
or monthly, starting at a date and time of your choice.
 * “Start import now” button for manual imports.
 * New jobs are created, changed jobs are updated and jobs that are no longer in
   the feed are deleted.
 * All styling (style blocks, inline styles, classes) is removed from the job descriptions,
   so they match your theme.
 * Single job pages show the employment type, location, the description, the contact
person and an “Apply now” button. Works with classic and block themes.
 * JobPosting structured data (JSON-LD) for Google for Jobs.
 * “Job List” block: a list of all jobs as cards with category, title, employment
type, location and a link to the job page, filterable by employment type.
 * WP-CLI command: `wp vakaro import`.
 * Translation ready.

Vakaro is an independent plugin and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Coveto.

### External services

This plugin connects to the Coveto recruiting platform to fetch the job postings
of your Coveto account.

 * **What is sent and when:** On every scheduled import and every time you click“
Start import now”, your site sends a GET request to `https://{customer-number}.
coveto.de/public/xml/`, where `{customer-number}` is the customer number entered
in the plugin settings. No personal data and no data about your visitors is sent.
As with every HTTP request, the server receives your web server’s IP address
   and the WordPress user agent.
 * **Media embedded in job descriptions:** Job descriptions can contain images,
videos and video embeds (e.g. YouTube) that are hosted by Coveto or third parties.
These are loaded by your visitors’ browsers directly from those servers when
   a job page is viewed.

The service is provided by Coveto: [Terms of service](https://www.coveto.de/AGB),
[Privacy policy](https://www.coveto.de/datenschutz).

## Blocks

This plugin provides 1 block.

 * Job List Displays the imported Coveto jobs as a list that visitors can filter
   by employment type.

## Installation

 1. Upload the plugin to `/wp-content/plugins/vakaro/` or install it via “Plugins >
    Add New”.
 2. Activate the plugin.
 3. Go to “Settings > Vakaro”, enter your Coveto customer number (e.g. `k40303`) and
    choose the import interval.
 4. Click “Start import now” to run the first import.
 5. Add the “Job List” block to a page to list your jobs.

## FAQ

### Where do I find my customer number?

It is the subdomain of your Coveto account. If your jobs are available at `https://
k40303.coveto.de/`, your customer number is `k40303`.

### Why does the import not run exactly on time?

WP-Cron runs when your website receives visits. For exact timing, disable WP-Cron
and run it via a real server cron job. See [Hooking WP-Cron into the system task scheduler](https://developer.wordpress.org/plugins/cron/hooking-wp-cron-into-the-system-task-scheduler/).

### Can I edit imported jobs?

You can, but your changes are overwritten as soon as the job is changed in Coveto.
Jobs that are removed from Coveto are deleted on the next import. Make changes in
Coveto instead.

### Can I customize the single job page?

Copy `templates/single-job.php` from the plugin to `your-theme/vakaro/single-job.
php` and adjust it. Developers can also use the filters `vakaro_single_job_data`,`
vakaro_import_job_data`, `vakaro_allowed_html`, `vakaro_job_description`, `vakaro_job_jsonld`
and `vakaro_job_list_query_args`.

### My SEO plugin already outputs structured data.

You can disable the JobPosting structured data under “Settings > Vakaro”.
