# URL Emailer – Send emails by URL parameters

## Description

Send an email when a page is loaded or accessed. You can customize the email by 
using URL parameters. A simple sample URL could look like https://yourserver.com/
yourpage/?mail=1&mailto=recipient

You can use a couple of parameters like mailto, first name, last name, subject, 
etc.
 **Use case **

 * Send a confirmation mail to your user / visitor when he is redirected from an
   external page (like webshop, payment service, digistore, etc.)
 * Get an email when a special page is accessed or visited

#### How do I use this plugin?

Configure recipient, subject, and body and add the _shortcode [url-emailer]_ to 
your page. Access your page with the URL parameter _?mail=1_ to send the email.

## Installation

 1. Go to `Plugins` in the Admin menu
 2. Click on the button `Add new`
 3. Search for `URL Emailer` and click ‘Install Now’ or click on the `upload` link 
    to upload `url-emailer.zip`
 4. Click on `Activate plugin`
 5. You will find the settings page under “Settings -> URL Emailer” within your admin
    dashboard

## FAQ

### I configured all settings but no email is sent. What’s wrong?

You need to add the shortcode [url-emailer] to your page and access it with the 
URL parameter ?mail=1

### How to uninstall the plugin?

Simply deactivate and delete the plugin.
