How it works for the buyer: 1. They choose “Bank transfer” (or whatever title you set) and confirm the order. 2. They’re redirected to a Transferime screen showing the alias/CVU/QR code to transfer to. 3. As soon as Mercado Pago detects the transfer, Transferime confirms the payment automatically and sends the buyer back to your store’s “order received” page. You never handle bank details by hand, and you never have to manually check your account statement to confirm a transfer — Transferime takes care of that. #### Requirements * An active account at https://transferime.net, with your Mercado Pago account connected and fully set up (Alias, CVU, CUIT). * A Transferime plan with integrations enabled (“API / webhooks”). * An API key generated from Transferime Settings Integrations. * Your store must invoice in ARS — the gateway automatically hides itself from checkout if the store currency is anything else. #### External service used by this plugin This plugin is an integration with [Transferime](https://transferime.net), a paid service that runs outside your site. For it to work, your store needs to communicate with Transferime’s servers — this is not a plugin that processes payments locally. What data is sent to Transferime, and when: * **When an order is placed with this payment method**, the following is sent: the order concept (order number and your store name), the amount and currency, the buyer’s billing name and email (or phone), the order number, and the order’s edit URL in your wp-admin. * **When the transfer is confirmed**, Transferime calls back to your store (to a dedicated WooCommerce URL, signed with HMAC-SHA256) to report that the order was paid, expired, or cancelled. Nothing else is sent beyond that. * Communication always happens server-to-server, using the WordPress HTTP API (` wp_remote_post`/`wp_remote_get`) — never via third-party scripts loaded at checkout, nor iframes. * No data is sent while the gateway is disabled or has no API key configured — the plugin makes no calls to Transferime until you activate it and set it up with your own key. Upload the `transferime` folder to `wp-content/plugins/` (or install the .zip from Plugins Add New Upload Plugin). 2. Activate it from the Plugins screen. 3. Go to WooCommerce Settings Payments Transferime. 4. Paste your API key (generated at transferime.net Settings Integrations Create key). 5. Enable the gateway and save. 6. Do a full end-to-end test purchase before going live. ## FAQ ### What happens if the buyer doesn’t transfer in time? The order stays “On hold” until the configured deadline is reached (60 minutes by default). After that, Transferime notifies the plugin and the order is automatically moved to “Cancelled” — it never stays stuck forever. ### Can the plugin process automatic refunds? No. Transferime never holds funds — money goes directly from your customer to your Mercado Pago account. A refund has to be done by you manually (a transfer back) and marked manually in WooCommerce. ### Does it work with currencies other than ARS? No. Transferime is a service for the Argentine market. If the seller reaches their limit, Transferime stops appearing as a payment method at checkout (a lightweight, cached check against GET /api/v1/capacidad), and if a payment is still attempted (race condition), the plugin shows a friendly, neutral message instead of breaking checkout — the buyer is never told “the seller exceeded their plan limit”.
