## Description

Traffi.Click Publisher gives every published post a free, private short link on
your own WordPress site, such as `https://example.com/go/p1`. It runs locally, sends
no data anywhere, and does not track visitors.

**Free and independent:**

 * Automatic local short links for published posts.
 * Links use your own site domain and redirect to the canonical post URL.
 * A local Short Links screen lists every published item and its short URL.
 * You can disable local short-link creation at any time in Publisher settings.

**Optional Traffi.Click service:**

Connect the Publisher module to Traffi.Click to send posts to Facebook Pages, WhatsApp
Channels, Telegram, and other destinations you configure in your account. Facebook
is connected with OAuth in Traffi.Click, so this plugin never asks for or stores
a Facebook access token. Hub delivery uses a mapped destination and can add a tracked
short URL.

The plugin contains no license validation, feature gate, trial timer, usage cap,
or code that restricts its own features. Traffi.Click is a separately managed service
and may offer additional service plans and capabilities.

### External services

This plugin can connect to the following third-party services. Each is optional
and only contacted when you enable and configure that module. Data is sent only
when you publish/update a post (or click a Test button). No data is sent to any
service unless you enable and configure the corresponding module.

 1. Traffi.Click (https://traffi.click) — when you enable and configure Publisher with
your endpoint and site token, the post title, link, excerpt, featured-image URL,
categories/tags and your site token are sent to Traffi.Click so the service can
distribute the post to the destinations you have connected and mapped (including
Facebook via OAuth you authorize inside Traffi.Click, WhatsApp Channels and Telegram).

 2. Facebook Graph API (https://graph.facebook.com) — only if you use the optional
direct Facebook module and save a Facebook Page ID and Page access token in the
plugin. When enabled, the plugin contacts the Graph API to list your Pages, verify
the Page, and publish the post (its title, link and featured image) to that Page,
and when you click the related Test button. The token is stored only in your WordPress
database and is never sent to Traffi.Click.

 3. n8n webhook (self-hosted or cloud URL you provide) — only if you enable the n8n
module and enter a webhook URL. On each publish/update (and on Test), the plugin
sends the post payload (title, link, excerpt, featured-image URL) to the URL you
configured. The destination and its policies are controlled entirely by you.

## FAQ

### Is the plugin free?

Yes. Automatic local short links run entirely on your WordPress site with no Traffi.
Click account.

### What needs a Traffi.Click account?

Publishing to Facebook Pages, WhatsApp Channels, Telegram, and other Hub destinations.
Connect Facebook with OAuth and map destinations in Traffi.Click. The plugin does
not store Facebook access tokens.

### Do short links track visitors?

The free local short-link feature does not track visitors. Traffi.Click-managed
links may have reporting when you opt in to the Traffi.Click service; see its Privacy
Policy.

### Is my data sent anywhere?

No data leaves WordPress for the local short-link feature. Publisher sends data
only after you explicitly configure Traffi.Click. See the “External services” section
above.

### Does the plugin contain obfuscated or hidden code?

No. All code is readable and GPL-licensed. Advanced features run on the Traffi.Click
service, not inside the plugin.

## Changelog

#### 2.4.9

 * Enqueued all admin CSS/JS via wp_enqueue_* / wp_add_inline_* instead of inline
   tags.
 * Prefixed all remaining option, setting, AJAX, handle and class names (trafpu_)
   to avoid collisions.
 * Lowered the admin menu position so it sits alongside Settings/Tools.
 * Documented all external services (Traffi.Click, Facebook Graph API, n8n) in the
   readme.

#### 2.4.8

 * Reordered the dashboard around WhatsApp as the flagship module.
 * Added a four-column card grid and official Telegram logo treatment.

#### 2.4.7

 * Simplified the admin submenu and improved service-card labels, actions, icons,
   and layout.

#### 2.4.6

 * Resolved translation metadata errors in the Publisher connection messages.

#### 2.4.5

 * Fixed delivery status handling so failed Hub authentication and invalid requests
   are never marked as delivered.

#### 2.4.4

 * Fixed Hub endpoint handling for sites that saved a legacy full API URL.
 * Improved connection-test feedback when an endpoint returns an unexpected response.

#### 2.4.3

 * Removed the duplicate Settings menu; Publisher is the single configuration screen.
 * Added an explicit Test Connection action that verifies the saved Traffi.Click
endpoint and site token without publishing an article.

#### 2.4.2

 * Made local short URLs clickable in the Short Links dashboard.
 * Clarified the purpose and calls to action of each Traffi.Click dashboard card.

#### 2.4.1

 * Added the local Short Links screen, which lists published items and their on-
site short URLs without collecting click data.

#### 2.4.0

 * Added free, automatic local short links using the WordPress site’s own domain.
 * Moved Facebook connection and publishing to the Traffi.Click Hub, where OAuth,
destination mapping, and tracked short links are managed.
 * Added custom-post-type support for Publisher sync.

#### 2.3.1

 * Clarified that the plugin contains no trialware, license checks, usage caps,
   or built-in feature gates.
 * Updated the public plugin description and package metadata.

#### 2.3.0

 * Streamlined for WordPress.org: free Facebook posting plus n8n webhook; WhatsApp
Channels and Telegram via a free Traffi.Click account.
 * Removed the bundled Buffer module and direct X (Twitter) posting; X is now offered
through Traffi.Click (paid) so users don’t need their own paid X API. Existing
Facebook and Traffi.Click posting behavior is unchanged.
 * Added readme with external-services disclosure and Requires headers; removed
   non-functional placeholder pages.

#### 2.2.2

 * Facebook, X (Twitter), Buffer and Traffi.Click SaaS publishing with featured
   images and category/tag filters.
