This plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.

The Movie Quotes


Movie Quotes widget will fetch the latest, random or top rated quotes from website, and display them on your blog.

You can select between:
– Latest Quotes
– Random Quotes
– Top Rated Quotes (as rated by users)

You can also set how many quotes you would like to show.

For less stress on the system, Movie Quotes widget does not use database, but it caches data to a file.


  • Configuration interface of the widget

  1. Upload the-movie-quotes directory to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  2. Create /wp-content/cache folder if it doesn’t exist and chmod it to 777
  3. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  4. Go to ‘Design’ -> ‘Widgets’ to add, and configure the widget
