Do think that [robots](http://google.com/) should never be able to read your blog, even if they ignore your robots.txt? Is privacy your number one concern? Do your friends think of you as “that total privacy nut…you know too much so.”? Then this plugin is for you. The 404er will make every public page of your blog return a [404](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_404) instead of the normal [200](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_HTTP_status_codes#2xx_Success). Yes, you could use the normal [privacy subpanel](https://codex.wordpress.org/Settings_Privacy_SubPanel), but that would be sooo pedestrian. Step up to the real (excessive, [RFC abbusing](http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec10.html#sec10.4.5)) 404!
