## Description

Techxabyte Link Health & Redirect Manager is an all-in-one WordPress broken link
finder, link scanner, redirect manager, and 404 monitor. It checks internal and
external URLs, follows redirect chains, audits page SEO signals, repairs links in
native content, and creates server-side redirect rules.

Everything runs locally on your WordPress site using WordPress APIs for HTTP requests,
scheduled jobs, permissions, data storage, revisions, and redirects. There is no
required cloud account and no third-party link database.

#### Website link health automation

 * Transparent 0-100 URL health score based on broken links, warnings, redirects,
   and orphan pages.
 * Per-scan URL snapshots so later inventory changes do not rewrite historical results.
 * Compare completed scans to identify newly broken and recovered URLs.
 * Deduplicated alert center with automatic resolution when URLs recover.
 * Optional threshold-based email alerts for newly broken URLs.
 * Daily redirect integrity checks for chains, loops, expired schedules, broken
destinations, stale rules, and long-running temporary redirects.
 * Safe one-click or optional automatic chain flattening for exact internal redirects.
 * Automatic disabling of expired scheduled redirects.
 * High-impact 404 opportunities ranked by visitor hits and local similarity confidence.
 * Configurable alert, stale-rule, and suggestion thresholds.
 * Authenticated REST API for summaries, alerts, scan starts, and alert dismissal.

#### Broken link checker and link scanner

 * Scan rendered front-end HTML so page-builder output is included.
 * Scan links, images, scripts, stylesheets, iframes, video, and audio.
 * Classify internal and external URLs.
 * Trace redirect chains and detect loops or excessive hops.
 * Record initial and final HTTP codes, final URL, response time, content type,
   and errors.
 * Store each unique URL once and record every source occurrence separately.
 * Record rel values and nofollow signals for discovered links.
 * Reuse recent checks to reduce server and network load.
 * Find orphan-page candidates with no discovered incoming internal links.
 * Scan additional internal routes such as archives and landing pages.
 * Pause, resume, cancel, and export background scans.
 * Manual, daily, weekly, and 30-day scans.
 * Optional email report after a completed scan.
 * WordPress Site Health test and dashboard widget.
 * Scanner traffic is excluded from redirect-hit and 404 analytics.

#### SEO page audit

 * Source HTTP status and indexability classification.
 * Title length, H1 count, and approximate word count.
 * Canonical URL and robots directives.
 * Internal, external, broken, and redirected link counts per source.
 * Issues-only, indexability, and text filters.

#### Safe broken link repair

 * Replace verified redirected internal URLs in native post content.
 * Repair one source post at a time from the scan report.
 * Preserve WordPress revisions through wp_update_post().
 * Store a protected repair history.
 * One-click undo is allowed only while the post still matches the repaired version.
 * Page-builder metadata and custom fields are intentionally not modified automatically.

#### Redirect safety and history

 * Configuration snapshots for redirect creation, edits, toggles, deletion, and
   optimization.
 * Restore previous redirect configurations from the Automation Center.
 * Detect and shorten internal redirect chains without touching wildcard, regex,
   or query-exact rules.
 * Keep history for 365 days and resolved alerts for 90 days.

#### 301 redirect manager and redirect rules

 * Beginner-friendly three-step redirect builder with safe defaults.
 * Guided presets for moved pages, temporary campaigns, deleted content, and URL
   patterns.
 * Search published pages and posts without leaving the redirect form.
 * Preflight validation for duplicates, loops, protected paths, schedules, and destination
   HTTP status.
 * Exact, wildcard, and regular-expression matching.
 * HTTP 301, 302, 303, 307, 308, and 410 responses.
 * Ignore, exactly match, or pass query strings.
 * GET, POST, HEAD, or any request method.
 * Priorities, groups, notes, enable/disable controls, and optional start/end dates.
 * Loop detection before saving exact rules and at request time.
 * Automatic 301 creation when a published permalink changes.
 * Hit counts, last-used date, one-click browser testing, and optional redirect
   event logs.
 * Bulk enable, pause, delete, and hit-counter reset actions.
 * Filters for status, match type, response code, group, source, destination, and
   notes.
 * Responsive redirect table designed for desktop and mobile administration.
 * CSV import/export.
 * Apache and Nginx snippets for supported enabled exact rules.
 * WP-CLI commands for scans, status, and redirect listing.

#### 404 monitor, redirect suggestions, and privacy

 * Group repeated 404 requests into ranked hotspots.
 * Rank likely redirect destinations using local path and title similarity.
 * Optional query-string grouping, disabled by default for privacy and lower log
   volume.
 * One-click redirect creation from a 404 record.
 * Optional probable-bot filtering.
 * Choose no IP storage, salted IP hashes, or full IP addresses.
 * Configurable redirect-log retention.
 * Preserve all data on uninstall by default.

## FAQ

### Does it scan Elementor and other page builders?

Yes. The rendered-page option requests public page HTML and scans the output. If
the public page cannot be fetched, Techxabyte Link Health & Redirect Manager falls
back to stored post content.

### Can automatic repair edit Elementor data?

No. Automatic repair changes only exact URLs in native post content. Page-builder
metadata and custom fields require builder-specific integration and are deliberately
not changed by the generic repair engine.

### Does it modify .htaccess or Nginx files?

No. Redirects run through WordPress. The Tools page can generate downloadable Apache
or Nginx snippets for supported exact rules, but it does not write server files
automatically.

### Why can an automatic scan start late?

WordPress scheduled tasks normally run when the site receives a request. Very low-
traffic sites can therefore start a task after its planned time.

### Is external link data sent to a third-party service?

No. Link checks and smart redirect suggestions run locally from your WordPress site.

### Does uninstalling delete redirects?

Data is preserved by default. Disable Preserve data on uninstall in Techxabyte Link
Health & Redirect Manager Settings before deleting the plugin if you want its tables
and options removed.
