It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or developed by Themeum or Tutor LMS. For Tutor LMS Pro assignments, learners can record up to five audio responses in the browser and submit them as normal Tutor LMS attachments. Instructors can write coloured text corrections for assignment responses in both WordPress Admin and the Tutor LMS instructor dashboard. For Tutor LMS quizzes, instructors can create coloured text corrections for Short Answer and Open Ended/Essay answers. The correction editor is available in WordPress Admin and the Tutor LMS instructor dashboard. Learners see their saved corrections when viewing the quiz result. #### Features * Browser microphone recorder for Tutor LMS Pro assignment submissions. * Up to five audio recordings per assignment submission. * Audio files are stored using Tutor LMS’s own assignment attachment workflow. * Assignment instructions remain visible from the submission screen. * Word-level correction preview: removed content is red and struck through; inserted content is green. * Assignment correction editor in WordPress Admin and the Tutor LMS instructor dashboard. * Short Answer and Open Ended/Essay quiz correction editor in WordPress Admin and the Tutor LMS instructor dashboard. * Student-facing correction view after evaluation or quiz review. * Local assets only; no analytics, accounts, remote requests, or third-party scripts. * Translation-ready text domain: `tce-assignments-tools`. ### Plugin website [TCE Plugins](https://tuclasedespanol.com/tce-plugins/) #### Compatibility * Tutor LMS: quiz correction features. * Tutor LMS Pro with the Assignments add-on enabled: assignment audio recording and assignment correction features. * WordPress 6.5 or later and PHP 7.4 or later. Tutor LMS’s Assignments feature is a Tutor LMS Pro add-on. When it is unavailable, the plugin keeps its Tutor LMS quiz-correction functionality and simply does not add assignment-specific controls. ### How to use #### Audio assignments 1. Enable **Allow learners to record audio for this assignment** while editing a Tutor LMS assignment. 2. A learner opens the assignment, records audio, stops the recording, and submits the assignment. 3. The audio is attached to the Tutor LMS submission alongside any regular uploads. Learners can add up to five recordings before submission. #### Assignment text corrections 1. Open a learner’s submitted assignment from either **Tutor LMS > Assignments** in WordPress Admin or the Tutor LMS instructor dashboard. 2. Enter the improved version of each written response in **Text corrections**. 3. Evaluate the assignment normally. Corrections are saved as the learner’s evaluation feedback. #### Quiz text corrections 1. Open a quiz attempt from either WordPress Admin or the Tutor LMS instructor dashboard. 2. For each Short Answer or Open Ended/Essay response, enter the correction in the** Text corrections** panel. 3. Save/evaluate the attempt normally. The learner sees the original and corrected text when reviewing results. ### Privacy TCE Assignments Tools does not collect analytics, create accounts, or contact external servers. Audio recordings and correction data remain on the WordPress site and are handled under the site’s own privacy policy. ## Installation 1. Upload the `tce-assignments-tools` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install the plugin from the WordPress Plugins screen. 2. Activate **TCE Assignments Tools**. 3. Activate Tutor LMS. For assignment features, activate Tutor LMS Pro and enable its **Assignments** add-on. 4. Create or edit an assignment. The **Audio Assignment** panel lets you enable browser recording for that assignment. ## FAQ ### Does this send recordings or student text to an external service? No. The plugin uses the learner’s browser microphone and stores the resulting file through the site’s existing WordPress and Tutor LMS installation. It does not send data to external services or add analytics. ### Why is the recorder not visible? The assignment must have browser recording enabled, the learner must be logged in, and the browser must permit microphone access. Browsers require HTTPS (or localhost) for microphone recording. ### Does the plugin work with Tutor LMS Free? The quiz-correction integration works with Tutor LMS. Audio assignments and assignment corrections require Tutor LMS Pro’s Assignments add-on because Tutor LMS provides assignments through that add-on. ### What happens when the plugin is deleted? The uninstall routine removes plugin settings, correction data, and recordings created by the plugin.
