It does not ship a single reporting tool. This plugin fills that gap: seven read-only reports designed to be read by a language model, not by a human staring at a chart. #### What your AI assistant gets * **Sales summary** — revenue, orders, average order value, refunds, and the percentage change against the previous period of equal length. * **Sales trend** — revenue bucketed by day, week or month, so the assistant can spot growth, decline and seasonality. * **Top products** — best sellers by revenue or by units, with SKU. * **Low stock** — what is running out, how fast it sells, and how many days of stock are left. This is the reorder question answered properly. * **Customer insights** — highest spending customers, repeat purchase rate, per- customer average order value. * **Order status breakdown** — orders and value per status, plus orders stuck in processing or on-hold for too long. * **Store overview** — the whole health check in a single call. #### Built for people who are nervous about giving an AI access to their store * **Read-only.** Not one tool in this plugin can create, edit or delete anything. Ever. * **No personal data.** Customer reports return billing names only. Email addresses and postal addresses are never sent to the model. * **Access log.** Every request is recorded: which tool, which account, which arguments, how long it took. Visible in your dashboard. * **Per-tool switches.** Turn off any report you do not want exposed. * **Standard WordPress permissions.** Only users who can already view WooCommerce reports can run these tools. #### Works with the official WordPress AI stack Reports are registered through the WordPress Abilities API, which is part of WordPress core from 6.9. Install the official MCP Adapter plugin and this plugin publishes its own MCP endpoint, so Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and any other MCP client can connect directly. No local proxy process to babysit. Without MCP Adapter the reports still work through the core Abilities REST API. #### Accuracy notes Revenue counts orders with status completed and processing. Refunds are reported separately and subtracted to give net revenue. All date handling uses your store timezone, not server time. Figures work on both High-Performance Order Storage and legacy post storage. #### Pro A paid tier adds four reports the free seven do not cover, plus two things that work while you are not looking: * **Refund analysis** — which products come back, what share of revenue leaves again, and the reasons staff recorded. * **Coupon performance** — order value earned for every unit of discount given, and whether coupon buyers spend more than everyone else. * **Bought together** — product pairs that share a basket more often than chance, with confidence read in both directions. * **Customers going quiet** — repeat buyers whose silence has run past twice their own usual gap between orders. * **Digest by email** — daily or Monday mornings, so a busy week does not become a blind week. * **Alerts** — a day compared against the same weekday rather than yesterday, orders left waiting, and products that just sold out. Pro is a **separate download**, not a locked part of this plugin — this free version does not contain the Pro code at all. Buying a licence replaces this plugin with the Pro build. Pro is read-only too: nothing in either build can change your store. Details are on the **WooCommerce Storelens Insights Pro** screen. ### External services **Reports never leave your site.** No order, product or customer data is sent anywhere by this plugin. The reports are handed to whichever AI client you connected, and that connection runs from your own server to your own client. **Freemius (licensing and payment).** The Pro tier is sold and licensed through Freemius, a third-party service. The Freemius SDK is bundled with this plugin. * _What it sends:_ your site URL, WordPress and PHP versions, plugin version, the site administrator’s name and email address, and the active plugin and theme list. * _When:_ only after you explicitly opt in on the activation screen, and afterwards while a licence is active. Install and activate this plugin. 2. Install the official **MCP Adapter** plugin, if you want to connect an AI client directly. 3. Go to **WooCommerce Storelens Insights** and copy the endpoint address. 4. Create an application password under **Users Profile**. Do not use your login password. 5. Add the endpoint and the application password to your AI client. ## FAQ ### Can the AI change anything in my store? No. Every tool in this plugin only reads. If you want an AI to be able to edit products or orders, that is a separate feature shipped by WooCommerce itself, and you turn it on knowingly on the settings screen. ### Does this send my customer data to an AI company? Only what you ask for, and only the fields listed above. Customer reports contain billing names, order counts and totals. No email addresses, no phone numbers, no addresses. Whatever your AI client receives is governed by that client’s own privacy policy. ### Does it slow down my store? The reports run only when an AI asks for one. Nothing runs on page loads for your shoppers. ### Do I need WooCommerce Analytics enabled? No. The reports read orders directly, so they are correct even on stores where the analytics lookup tables were never populated. ### Which WordPress version do I need?
