Accept one-time USDT and USDC stablecoin donations through [StacoGate](https://stacogate.com) hosted checkout, while keeping donation records and fiat accounting amounts in GiveWP. Donors enter their donation details in GiveWP, continue to StacoGate to choose a supported stablecoin and network, and return to your site after checkout. Verified payment confirmation updates the donation in GiveWP. Keep received funds in stablecoins or use available local-currency withdrawal options in your StacoGate account. Withdrawal methods, currencies, fees and availability depend on the service options available to your account. Recurring donations and automatic refunds are not supported. Compatibility with GiveWP premium add-ons has not been verified. ### External services and privacy A StacoGate merchant account is required. When a donor starts checkout, the plugin sends the donation amount and currency, donor name and email, donation/form/campaign references, and return/callback URLs to [StacoGate’s payment API](https://stacogate.com/api/v1/payment-sessions) to create and verify the payment. Testing the saved connection contacts [StacoGate’s connection endpoint](https://stacogate.com/api/v1/ping). Credentials are stored server-side. Settings, donation payment details and verification records remain in your WordPress database after deactivation or deletion. Optional deactivation feedback sends your selected reason, comment, and plugin identifier/ version to StacoGate. Your website address is shared only with separate consent. Install and activate GiveWP, then upload and activate this plugin ZIP. 2. Open GiveWP > StacoGate Payments and save your shop API secret and webhook signing secret. 3. Test the saved connection and confirm the receiving shop. 4. Enable StacoGate checkout here and in GiveWP’s payment gateway settings. 5. Keep the site and its REST callback endpoint publicly reachable over HTTPS. 6. Complete a small one-time payment test and confirm the donation, receipt and crypto details before accepting donations. GiveWP test mode is unsupported and hides this gateway. Checkout tests with test mode disabled use real payments. ## FAQ ### Can I accept cryptocurrency donations with GiveWP? Yes. StacoGate for GiveWP adds a hosted payment gateway for one-time USDT and USDC stablecoin donations. Install GiveWP and this plugin, connect your StacoGate merchant shop, and enable the gateway in both sets of payment settings. ### Which stablecoins and networks can donors use? Donors choose from the USDT and USDC options available for their payment on StacoGate hosted checkout. Available networks, minimum amounts and payment quotes are shown there before the donor sends funds. ### Can I withdraw donations in my local currency? You can keep funds in stablecoins or use local-currency withdrawal options where available in your StacoGate account. The WordPress plugin does not perform withdrawals or currency settlement; manage those through StacoGate. ### Does GiveWP show the crypto amount or the fiat donation amount? Both are available separately. GiveWP keeps the original fiat donation amount for its accounting. The plugin adds verified crypto amounts, asset, network and payment references to the donation administration screens. ### How is a donation marked completed? The plugin verifies payment with StacoGate on the server before completing the donation. Returning from checkout or clicking a button does not prove payment. GiveWP handles its normal completion records and receipts after the verified status update. ### What if a donor closes checkout or payment confirmation is delayed? Closing checkout alone does not mark a donation paid. The plugin can check again through background tasks, a valid donor return, or the administrator’s Check payment status button. Background checks depend on WordPress scheduled tasks running. ### Are recurring donations and GiveWP premium add-ons supported? Version 1.0.0 supports one-time donations. Recurring payments and automatic refunds are unsupported. Compatibility with premium add-ons, including Fee Recovery and Currency Switcher, has not been verified. ### Can I use GiveWP test mode? No. This gateway is hidden when GiveWP test mode is enabled. A checkout test with test mode disabled uses real payments; verify your setup with an appropriate small amount before accepting donations. ### Does this plugin collect deactivation feedback automatically? No. Feedback is optional and sent only when you select a Send feedback action. Sharing the website address requires the separately labelled action. Skip and Cancel send nothing.
