The plugin cannot check or remediate PDFs without it: the analysis and repair happen on that service, not on your server. **Nothing is sent to either service until an administrator explicitly connects the site** from the plugin screen, which lists the exact data (with its real values) that will be shared. Until then the plugin loads no workspace code and makes no request. The consent is recorded on your site as a single option and can be withdrawn at any time with the **Disconnect** link, after which no further data is sent. It is also removed when the plugin is uninstalled. **1. AI PDF Remediation API — https://livepdfapi.skynettechnologies.us** _What it is used for:_ registering your site’s account, listing and storing your documents, running remediation jobs, reporting the accessibility checks that were applied, and delivering the remediated files. _What is sent, and when:_ * After an administrator has connected the site — when the workspace is opened, and whenever the session token expires — your server sends your site name, your site’s administration email address, your site’s domain, the plan identifier (` free`) and a fixed country code (`US`) in order to register or sign in to the account. The service returns a short-lived session token. * When you add a PDF, the file itself is sent from your browser to the service, along with that session token. Upload the plugin folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install it from **Plugins Add New**. 2. Activate the plugin through the **Plugins** screen. 3. Open **PDF Remediation** in the admin menu, review the data that will be sent to the remediation service, and click **Connect this site**. The site is then registered on the free plan — there is nothing else to configure. 4. Add PDFs, remediate, and download the results. ## FAQ ### Do I need an API key? No. The plugin registers your site with the remediation service the first time an administrator opens the workspace, using your site’s administration email address. There is no key to paste and no settings screen. ### Which account do the documents belong to? The email address you confirm on the connect screen. It is pre-filled with your site’s administration email address (**Settings General**), and you can enter a different one before connecting. Every administrator on the site then works in that one shared document library. The address is stored with your consent, so changing the administration email later does not switch accounts. To pin the address for a deployment, define `SAPR_ACCOUNT_EMAIL` in `wp-config.php` (it then shows read- only on the connect screen), or filter `sapr_account_email`. ### Who can use the workspace? Administrators (`manage_options`). The capability is filterable with `sapr_capability` if you want to hand it to editors. Opening the workspace mints a session that can reach every document on the account, so grant it deliberately. ### My staging site registered its own account. Can I point it at the production one? Yes. Define `SAPR_WEBSITE` in `wp-config.php` on the staging copy, set to your production domain, or filter `sapr_website`. ### Is any data sent before I agree? No. Until an administrator clicks **Connect this site**, the plugin loads none of the workspace code and makes no request to any external server. The connect screen shows the exact values that will be sent. You can change the account email address on that screen before connecting. You can disconnect at any time; if the site’s domain changes later, you are asked to review and connect again. ### Does the plugin store anything in my database? One option, `sapr_service_consent`, recording that an administrator connected the site, who, and when. No tables. It is deleted when you disconnect and when the plugin is uninstalled. The session token lives in the administrator’s browser only. ### Can I remediate PDFs already in my Media Library? Yes. **Select from Media Library** on the Upload tab lists every PDF attachment on the site, with search and paging. Selections carry across pages, and files over 50 MB are shown but cannot be selected. The files are read from your own site by your browser and then uploaded exactly as a dragged file would be — the remediation service is never given access to your Media Library, and your original attachments are never modified or replaced. Listing the Media Library requires the `upload_files` capability in addition to the workspace capability. ### Is there a free plan? Yes — the free plan covers your first 5 pages.
