The widget detects which country a page is about without sending page content to a third party. It then displays current Skyalo plans, real retail prices, and direct checkout buttons for that destination. An approved Skyalo affiliate slug attributes referred purchases to the site owner. Key features: * Detects a destination from the page title, URL slug, categories, tags, excerpt, and content. * Keeps page analysis entirely inside WordPress. * Shows current featured eSIM plans and retail prices from Skyalo. * Opens destination-specific Skyalo checkout with the chosen package preselected. * Attributes clicks and purchases through the site owner’s approved affiliate slug. * Keeps the affiliate recipient in an administrator-only setting. * Detects the WordPress locale and renders a native-language visitor interface in 16 supported locale families. * Selects display currency from the site’s country-code domain first, then its locale. * Converts USD prices with daily European Central Bank reference rates when available. * Includes a Gutenberg block, shortcode, and explicit site-wide placement option. * Uses server-side caching to keep pages fast and reduce external requests. * Does not create visitor cookies or send article content to Skyalo. * Makes no Skyalo request until an administrator explicitly enables live data. The widget is not injected automatically after activation. Live Skyalo requests are also disabled by default. An administrator must enable live data and then insert the block/shortcode or explicitly enable site-wide placement in **Settings > Skyalo eSIM**. Bundled visitor languages: English, Arabic, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Russian, Spanish, Turkish, and Ukrainian. WordPress.org language packs can override the bundled visitor copy and translate the plugin settings and Gutenberg controls. Catalog and plan requests include the selected destination, resolved Skyalo locale, display currency, result limit, and plugin version in the user agent. No request includes the page title, page URL, article content, visitor identity, affiliate account details, commission rate, balance, clicks, orders, or payment details. Responses are cached locally in WordPress. When a visitor clicks **Buy eSIM**, their browser opens Skyalo checkout. The checkout URL includes the selected package identifier, standard UTM campaign parameters, and the affiliate slug configured by the site owner. Skyalo may then set attribution cookies and process the purchase under its own policies. Install and activate **Skyalo eSIM Affiliate Widget**. 2. Open **Settings > Skyalo eSIM**, review the disclosed external service, and enable live Skyalo data. 3. Apply to the Skyalo Affiliate Program at https://skyalo.com/en/affiliate. 4. After approval, paste the affiliate slug into **Settings > Skyalo eSIM**. 5. Choose manual placement or explicitly enable automatic placement before/after public content. 6. Keep language, currency, and destination on Automatic unless an override is required. ## FAQ ### How do I earn commission? Apply to the Skyalo Affiliate Program and paste the approved affiliate slug into the plugin settings. Only a WordPress administrator can control the commission recipient. The plugin adds that syntax-validated slug to sponsored checkout links. Skyalo remains authoritative for affiliate agreement status, attribution, commission eligibility, and payment. ### How is the destination detected? The plugin scores country names found in the current post title, URL slug, categories, tags, excerpt, and content. This processing happens locally inside WordPress. The article text is never sent to Skyalo. ### Are the plans and prices current? Yes. The WordPress server retrieves published plans and final retail prices from the public Skyalo integration API and caches them for one hour. ### Does the Buy button go directly to checkout? Yes. It opens Skyalo checkout with the selected package prefilled and carries the administrator-configured affiliate slug and campaign attribution. ### How are language and currency selected? Language follows the WordPress site locale. Currency uses a recognized country-code top-level domain first and then the locale. Both can be overridden globally or per Gutenberg block. ### Are converted prices exact? Converted display prices are estimates based on European Central Bank reference rates. The widget labels them as estimates and Skyalo shows the final checkout amount. If a requested currency is unavailable, the plugin displays USD. ### Does the plugin collect visitor data? The plugin itself does not create cookies, accounts, or visitor profiles.
