Upload the plugin folder to `/wp-content/plugins/` or install via **Plugins Add New**. 2. Activate the plugin. 3. Go to **Image Optimizer Settings** to set your compression quality and max dimensions. 4. Go to **Image Optimizer Bulk Optimize** to process your existing media library. 5. That’s it. New uploads are optimized automatically. ## FAQ ### Does this plugin send my images to an external server? No. All compression happens on your server using WordPress’s native GD or Imagick image editor. No images leave your server. No API calls are made.
