## Description

ShopGlu connects your WooCommerce store to Takealot, South Africa’s largest online

marketplace, so you can run both from one catalogue.

Your store stays the source of truth for what you sell and what it costs. ShopGlu
pushes
your prices and stock up to Takealot, and brings Takealot’s orders back
down into WooCommerce as real orders you can fulfil, refund and report on as usual.

**What it does**

 * Pushes selling price, RRP and stock from WooCommerce to your Takealot offers
 * Brings Takealot orders into WooCommerce, including fulfilment and cancellations
 * Optionally writes Takealot’s per-warehouse stock (Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban)
   onto your products
 * Adds a Stock Locations tab to the product editor for your warehouse quantities
 * Adds a Barcode field to products and variations
 * Registers order statuses for returns and partial cancellations, so Takealot’s
states survive the trip into WooCommerce

**A ShopGlu account is required.** This plugin is the bridge between your store
and the
ShopGlu service; on its own it does not sync anything. Pricing and sign-
up are at [shopglu.com](https://shopglu.com).

#### Third-Party Service

This plugin relies on the ShopGlu service, hosted at
 [flow.shopglu.com](https://flow.shopglu.com),
to do the actual synchronising with Takealot. The plugin cannot function without
it, and an account is required.

**Nothing is sent until you ask for it.** On first use the plugin shows you a screen

listing exactly what will be transmitted and does not contact ShopGlu until you
press “Connect store”. When you do, it sends:

 * your store address
 * your administrator email address
 * your WordPress username
 * a randomly generated secret, created locally, used only to identify this store
   to ShopGlu

ShopGlu uses these to create or locate your account and to sign you in. Once connected,

the same details are sent again each time you open the ShopGlu menu, to sign you
in to the app. After you connect, the plugin exchanges catalogue and order data
with the service as part of normal syncing.

When you **delete** the plugin (not merely deactivate it), it makes one final request
to
ShopGlu telling it to stop syncing this store. Your store’s identifying secret
is kept in the database so that reinstalling reconnects you without starting over.

## Installation

 1. Install through the WordPress plugins screen, or upload the `shopglu-for-woocommerce`
    folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`.
 2. Make sure WooCommerce is installed and activated.
 3. Activate ShopGlu for WooCommerce through the Plugins screen.
 4. Open **ShopGlu** in the admin menu, review what will be sent, and press **Connect
    store**.
 5. Approve the WooCommerce access request so ShopGlu can read your catalogue and write
    orders.

## FAQ

### Does this plugin require WooCommerce?

Yes. WooCommerce must be installed and activated.

### Do I need a paid ShopGlu account?

You need a ShopGlu account. The plugin is the connector; the syncing itself is performed
by
the ShopGlu service. See [shopglu.com](https://shopglu.com) for plans.

### Is anything sent to ShopGlu before I agree?

No. The plugin makes no outbound request until you press “Connect store” on the
screen that
 lists what will be sent.

### What Takealot warehouses are supported?

Cape Town (CPT), Johannesburg (JHB) and Durban (DBN), plus your own warehouse.

### Is it compatible with High-Performance Order Storage?

Yes. The plugin declares HPOS compatibility and its custom order statuses work with
both
HPOS and the legacy posts-based order storage.

### What happens to my data if I delete the plugin?

The product fields it added stay on your products. The plugin tells ShopGlu to stop
syncing
and removes its own settings, but keeps the store’s identifying secret
so a reinstall reconnects cleanly.

## Changelog

#### 4.3.0

 * Renamed to “ShopGlu for WooCommerce”
 * New: an explicit connect screen. The plugin now makes no outbound request until
you press “Connect store”, and lists exactly what will be sent first
 * New: a Settings screen showing connection status and per-field control over the
   product fields ShopGlu manages
 * New: declares High-Performance Order Storage compatibility, so enabling HPOS
is no longer blocked while this plugin is active
 * Fixed: barcodes on product variations are now stored per variation. Previously
every variation on a product shared one field and overwrote each other
 * Fixed: the variation Barcode field no longer loads every variation on the product
   to render one row
 * Removed: a site-wide CORS override that disabled WordPress’s own CORS handling
on every REST route. It was never needed – the ShopGlu service calls this store
   server to server
 * Removed: a site-wide change that raised the REST `per_page` ceiling to 10000
   for all post types
 * Removed: unused front-end stylesheet and script that loaded jQuery on every page
   of the store
 * Security: REST routes now authorise in their permission callback; catalogue queries
bind all values as parameters; product saves verify a nonce
 * Uninstall now removes only this plugin’s own prefixed options. The generically
named `api_key` and `add_fields` options are left in place, as another plugin
   may own them

#### 4.2.0

 * On plugin deletion (uninstall, not deactivation), notify ShopGlu so it stops
syncing the store; the store’s data is retained for a grace period so a reinstall
   reconnects seamlessly
 * get-products now accepts an optional “mwh” parameter, so stores that keep main-
warehouse stock in a custom field (a 3rd-party inventory plugin) rather than
WooCommerce’s own stock field are read correctly by the catalogue refresh

#### 4.1.0

 * Store-field endpoints now accept the per-store bridge secret, so the ShopGlu
app can enable and disable the barcode and CPT/JHB/DBN fields from its settings

#### 4.0.0

 * Standalone app model – the menu now opens the ShopGlu app in a new tab
 * Secure onboarding: auto-provisioning and one-time launch tickets via the ShopGlu
   bridge

#### 3.1.0

 * Safe migration from v1 settings format – existing configurations are preserved
   on update

#### 3.0.0

 * Security hardening: nonce verification, capability checks, input sanitization
 * Fixed SQL injection vulnerability in product queries
 * Properly prefixed all functions to avoid conflicts

#### 2.0.0

 * Added stock locations tab in the WooCommerce product editor
 * REST API for product and location management
 * Custom order statuses for returns

#### 1.0.0

 * Initial release
