Shapo collects those words, keeps them in one place and shows them where people decide to buy: on your own website. This plugin connects your WordPress site to Shapo and puts any Shapo widget, form or survey on a page with a block, a page builder element or a shortcode. There is no Google API key to create and no business ID to look up. You import reviews in Shapo by pasting your business link, design the widget there, and place it here. #### Show reviews where visitors decide Bring in reviews from Google, your WooCommerce store, Trustpilot, G2, Capterra, Yelp, Facebook and 30+ other sites, add the testimonials you collect yourself, and show them in the layout that suits the page: * Grid: a masonry wall of review cards for a testimonials or about page. * Carousel and multi carousel: rotating review cards for a homepage section. * Marquee: a strip of reviews that scrolls slowly under a hero or a pricing table. * List: one review after another, easy to read on a long product page. * Single review: one strong quote next to a signup form or a checkout button. * Rating badge: your star rating and review count, small enough for a header or footer. * Floating review toast: a small popup that shows reviews one at a time while visitors browse. Each widget takes your colours, fonts and spacing, plays video testimonials as well as text, and can be filtered, for example to 5-star reviews only or to reviews tagged for one product, so every page shows the proof that fits it. #### Collect new testimonials, including video Share a collection form by link or place it on your site. Customers leave a star rating and a written review, or record a video testimonial on their phone or laptop with nothing to install. You can see which reviews and pages do the work, and which sites your widgets run on. #### Made for WordPress * **Page builders:** a native Shapo element in Elementor, Beaver Builder, Bricks and WPBakery, not just a shortcode box. * **Block editor:** the Shapo Widget block, with a live preview while you edit. Pasting the embed code from Shapo into the editor turns it into the block. * **Everything else:** the `[shapo]` shortcode works in Divi, Oxygen, Breakdance, the classic editor, widget areas and theme templates. * **Whole site:** show a floating review popup or survey button on every page from the plugin settings. Connect your Shapo workspace once and the block and builder elements list your widgets, forms and surveys, so you pick one by name. Connecting works on every Shapo plan, including the free plan. Shapo is provided by Configo Ltd. * On pages that show a Shapo block, shortcode or element, or on every page when you turn on the site-wide embed or the “load on every page” setting, the visitor’s browser loads the Shapo script from `cdn.shapo.io` and the widget itself from` app.shapo.io` and `api.shapo.io`. Those requests include the page URL, which Shapo uses for widget analytics. The widget page loads its fonts from `fonts. bunny.net` and a script library from `cdnjs.cloudflare.com`, shows reviewers’ profile pictures from the site the review came from (for example Google), and reports rendering errors to Sentry. Shapo is served through Cloudflare. * While you edit, the Shapo Widget block previews the selected widget, form or survey by loading it from `app.shapo.io` inside the editor. * When you click Connect with Shapo, you are sent to `app.shapo.io` to sign in and approve the connection. Your site then exchanges a one-time code with `api. shapo.io` for a connection token, and uses that token to fetch the names and ids of your widgets, forms and surveys while you edit. Your site URL and site title are sent so the connection shows up in your Shapo account. * When you disconnect, or delete the plugin while connected, your site asks `api. shapo.io` to revoke its connection token. No. Shapo imports reviews from the link to your Google business profile (or your page on any other supported site). There is no API key, place ID or Google Cloud project to set up. ### Can I show my WooCommerce product reviews? Yes. Paste your store’s address into Shapo and it imports your product reviews through WooCommerce’s public Store API, with no API keys to create. Review plugins that save reviews as regular product reviews, such as Customer Reviews for WooCommerce, come through the same way. They then show up next to your Google and other reviews. ### Do I need a paid Shapo plan? No. The plugin and the Connect with Shapo button work on the free plan, which includes up to 10 testimonials and imported reviews, unlimited widgets and forms, and Shapo branding. Pro removes the limit and the branding and syncs your reviews every day. ### How often do new reviews show up? On Pro, Shapo re-imports each connected source once a day. On the free plan, you import again from your Shapo dashboard when you want new reviews. Changes you make to a widget in Shapo show up on your site straight away, with no need to edit the page. ### Do I have to connect my account? No. Connecting lets you pick widgets from a list. Without it, paste the widget id or embed code from Shapo into the block, element or shortcode. ### What can the connected site access? Only the names and ids of the widgets, forms and surveys in the workspace you picked. It cannot read your reviews, contacts or billing. Disconnect from the plugin settings, or from Settings, Integrations in Shapo. ### My widget does not show up inside a popup or tab Some popups and tabs load their content after the page. Turn on **Load the Shapo script on every page** in the plugin settings. ### Does it work with my caching plugin? Yes. Widgets render in the visitor’s browser, so a cached page stays correct when you change a widget in Shapo. ### Will it slow my site down? The script that runs on your page is about 10 KB compressed and loads with `defer`, so it never blocks the page from rendering. It only loads on pages that show a Shapo widget, unless you turn on the site-wide options. Turn on lazy loading for widgets further down the page and they load only when a visitor scrolls near them. ### Is it GDPR friendly? Does it set cookies? The widget sets no cookies. The only thing it stores is a note in session storage when a visitor closes a floating popup, so the popup stays closed until they close the browser. Widgets are served by Shapo from `app.shapo.io`, so the visitor’s browser does talk to Shapo; see External services below for exactly what is sent. ### Do the reviews help my SEO? Widgets are displayed in an embedded frame, so search engines do not count the review text as part of your page. To give search engines your rating, add the `[shapo_rating_schema]` shortcode, which adds rating markup to the page.
