The converter is intentionally conservative. It recognizes common legacy structures and converts them into native blocks while preserving unfamiliar or complex markup as Custom HTML blocks. Features include: * Preview converted block markup before saving. * Convert one page or post at a time. * Bulk-convert remaining legacy content. * Automatically back up original post content before conversion. * Restore the original content for any converted item while the backup is retained. * Convert headings, paragraphs, lists, images, linked images, separators, and common Bootstrap-style wrappers. * Keep inline links, strong/emphasis text, spans, and line breaks together inside paragraphs. * Preserve complex/unrecognized markup as Custom HTML rather than discarding it. * Cleanup tool removes all temporary converter backup/meta data after migration is complete. * No custom database tables are created, so the plugin leaves no converter tables behind. When the migration is finished, the built-in Cleanup Plugin Data removes the plugin’s temporary backups and conversion markers while leaving converted block content unchanged. Deleting the plugin also runs uninstall cleanup for the same temporary data. This plugin modifies post content. Back up your WordPress database before running conversions, especially before using bulk tools. Upload the plugin folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install the ZIP through Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. 2. Activate SEARCHEN Legacy Content Migrator. 3. Go to Tools > Legacy Content Migrator. 4. Preview a representative page before converting. 5. After validating a few pages, use the bulk conversion tool if appropriate. 6. When the migration is complete, use Cleanup Plugin Data before removing the plugin if you no longer need restore backups. ## FAQ ### Does the plugin create custom database tables? No. Temporary backups and conversion markers are stored in normal WordPress post meta. ### Can I restore a converted page? Yes, as long as the converter backup meta has not been cleaned up or removed. The plugin stores the original `post_content` before conversion. ### What happens to HTML the converter does not understand? It is preserved as a WordPress Custom HTML block instead of being silently discarded. ### Does bulk conversion overwrite already converted content? No. The bulk converter skips items already marked as converted by this plugin and also recognizes existing WordPress block-based content so it is not re-flagged merely because a Custom HTML block contains legacy-looking markup. ### What happens when I delete the plugin? The plugin includes uninstall cleanup for its temporary post-meta keys. It creates no custom database tables.
