## Description

Scuntra for WooCommerce lets your store take crypto payments with a drop-in gateway:

 * **9 currencies** — BTC, LTC, BCH, XMR, ETH and TRON, plus USDT (TRC-20 and ERC-
   20) and USDC (ERC-20). If you accept more than one, the customer picks at checkout.
 * **Hosted invoice page** — the customer is redirected to a secure Scuntra invoice
with a live QR and status. Nothing sensitive touches your store.
 * **Automatic order completion** — when the payment reaches the required confirmations,
Scuntra sends a signed webhook and the order flips to _Processing/Completed_
   on its own.
 * **HMAC-verified webhooks** — every callback is verified with HMAC-SHA256 against
your per-store secret (timestamp + nonce + body), with a 5-minute replay window.
 * **Live FX conversion** — the order total in your store currency is converted
to the chosen coin at checkout using Scuntra’s live ticker.
 * **No KYC** — funds settle to wallet addresses you nominate. Scuntra never asks
   for your customers’ identity.

This plugin talks to the Scuntra REST API. You need a Scuntra account (free) to
get an Account ID and Webhook signing secret.

### External services

This plugin connects to the Scuntra API to create and settle cryptocurrency payments.
The
connection is required: without it there is no invoice for a customer to pay.
The API host is configurable in the plugin settings and defaults to `https://scuntra.
com`.

Three interactions take place:

 1. **Exchange rate, at checkout.** When a customer selects a coin, the plugin requests
    the
     current rate with `GET {host}/api/v2/ticker?currency={coin}&fiat={store currency}`.
Only the coin code and your store’s currency code are sent. No order or customer
    information is included.
 2. **Invoice creation, when an order is placed.** The plugin sends `POST
     {host}/api/
    v2/accounts/{your account id}/invoices
containing: the chosen coin, the converted

amount, the invoice lifetime, the WooCommerce return URL for that order, your store’s
webhook URL, your site name, the order number and the order ID. An idempotency
key derived from the order ID, order total and coin is sent as a header so a retry
    cannot create a duplicate invoice.
 3. **Payment notification, after the customer pays.** Scuntra calls your store’s webhook
    URL. The
plugin verifies an HMAC-SHA256 signature against your signing secret
and updates the order. Nothing leaves your store during this step.

**Customer personal data is never sent to Scuntra by this plugin** — no names, email
addresses,
billing or shipping addresses, and no card or wallet credentials. The
customer pays on Scuntra’s hosted invoice page, which is why nothing sensitive passes
through your store.

Using this plugin means your store relies on the Scuntra service, governed by:

 * Terms of Service: https://scuntra.com/terms
 * Privacy Policy: https://scuntra.com/privacy

## Installation

 1. In your Scuntra dashboard, open **Integrations** and copy your **Account ID** (
    scuntra-…) and **Webhook signing secret**.
 2. In WordPress, go to **Plugins Add New Upload Plugin**, choose `scuntra-for-woocommerce.
zip`, then **Install** and **Activate**. (Requires WooCommerce 6.0+ and PHP 7.4
    +.)
 3. Go to **WooCommerce Settings Payments Scuntra (Crypto)** **Manage**.
 4. Tick **Enable**, paste your **Account ID** and **Webhook signing secret**, set
your **Accepted coins** (comma-separated), and **Save changes**.
 5. Place a test order to confirm the flow end-to-end, then you’re live.

The webhook URL is shown in the settings screen (it’s `https://your-store/?wc-api
=wc_gateway_scuntra`). Scuntra uses the per-invoice `callback-url`, so there is
nothing extra to register.

## FAQ

### Do I need to run a node or hold the keys?

Funds settle to wallet addresses you nominate, or auto-forward to cold storage.
The plugin only creates invoices and verifies webhooks.

### How are prices converted to crypto?

At checkout, the order total in your store currency is converted to the chosen coin
using Scuntra’s live ticker. The invoice has a short lifetime (default 1 hour) so
the quote doesn’t drift.

### When is an order marked paid?

On the `completed` webhook — i.e. after the payment reaches the coin’s required
confirmations. Before that (`paid`/`overpaid`) the order is placed _on hold_ (“payment
seen, awaiting confirmation”).

### What about refunds?

Crypto refunds are handled manually from your wallet for now; there is no automatic
refund button in this version.

## Changelog

#### 1.2.2

 * Declares WooCommerce as a required plugin, so WordPress refuses activation without
   it
instead of the gateway silently never registering.
 * Contributors now lists the WordPress.org account that owns the plugin.

#### 1.2.1

 * Migrates the 1.1.x folder automatically. The pre-rename copy is deactivated on
   the next admin
request instead of colliding with this one, so the two can no
longer produce a fatal redeclaration error, and the store keeps taking payments
   throughout.
 * Gateway settings are now mirrored under a second option. The 1.1.x uninstall
   routine deletes the
shared settings unconditionally, so deleting that old folder
after migrating used to wipe a live store’s Account ID and webhook secret; they
are now restored automatically if that happens.
 * This plugin’s own uninstall no longer deletes the shared settings while another
   copy is still
    installed.

#### 1.2.0

 * Renamed for the WordPress.org Plugin Directory: the plugin folder, main file
   and text domain are
now `scuntra-for-woocommerce`, because a directory slug
may not begin with a trademarked term. The gateway id is unchanged, so your settings
   carry over untouched.
 * Documented every call made to the Scuntra API, with links to the terms and privacy
   policy, as the
    Plugin Directory guidelines require.
 * Declared compatibility with WordPress 7.1 and WooCommerce 11.1.

#### 1.1.4

 * The “Accepted coins” description omitted bch and xmr, which the plugin has always
accepted — merchants reading the field believed Bitcoin Cash and Monero were
unsupported. All nine codes are now listed.
 * Invoice expiry is now recorded as an order note. The order status is deliberately
unchanged, because a late payment to an expired invoice can still complete it.

#### 1.1.3

 * Reworded the plugin description and FAQ to describe how funds actually move between
the store, Scuntra and your wallet. No functional change.

#### 1.1.2

 * Account IDs are now issued with the “scuntra-” prefix; the placeholder and setup
text follow. Existing “crypto-” and “apr-” IDs keep working — no action needed
if your store is already configured.

#### 1.1.1

 * Fixed the Account ID placeholder and setup text, which still showed the legacy“
apr-” prefix. New accounts are issued as “crypto-“; both remain valid.

#### 1.1.0

 * Added Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Monero (XMR) — both were already live on the API
but missing here, so configuring only those silently fell back to Bitcoin.
 * A configured coin this plugin does not recognise is now reported in the PHP error
log, and an all-unsupported list raises an admin notice instead of silently invoicing
   in BTC.

#### 1.0.0

 * Initial release: hosted-invoice checkout, coin picker, live FX conversion, HMAC-
verified webhooks, automatic order completion, HPOS-compatible.
