Article text stays on your site; no account or external AI service is required. * **Choose the recommendations.** Pin articles in your preferred order, exclude unsuitable suggestions, select eligible post types and set an optional age limit. * **Place them where they help.** Display recommendations after the article, after a chosen paragraph or heading, or wherever you insert the block or shortcode. * **Preview before saving.** See your articles at desktop and mobile widths. Try three presets and adjust spacing, colors, images and typography. * **Follow indexing progress.** See processed articles, elapsed time, estimates for the current step and a manual Run next batch control when background work is waiting. * **Learn from local reports.** Optionally measure impressions, clicks and CTR, or compare two layouts with a cookie-free A/B test. See Screenshots for each layout, then preview your articles in Design studio. #### Block, shortcode and automatic placement Insert the **RelatIQ Related Posts** block in the WordPress block editor, enable automatic placement, or add this shortcode: [relatiq layout=”magazine-split” count=”3″ title=”Explore this topic”] Automatic display skips articles containing a RelatIQ block or shortcode. If your theme template includes the block, disable automatic display to avoid duplication. The original [rltiq_related_posts_ai] shortcode is also supported. #### Content matching you control RelatIQ uses word overlap and local relevance scoring, not generative AI. Pins appear first. If matches are scarce, optional fallback suggestions use shared taxonomy terms or recent eligible articles. Only published, public, password-free content is eligible. Global exclusions, per- article exclusions and age limits apply to pins, matches and fallback suggestions. Same-language matching reads WPML or Polylang language information when available; articles with unknown language remain eligible. Matching quality varies by language and writing style. #### Privacy and optional reporting Matching runs in your WordPress database. No article text or automatic off-site telemetry is sent to the author. Reports start disabled. When enabled, your site’s /wp-json/rltiq/v1/event endpoint receives source/destination article IDs, layout, experiment variant, a link signature and a random event ID. Daily aggregate counts are kept for up to 90 days; no analytics cookies or visitor profiles are created. Impressions require half the item to be visible. Counts are not unique visitors or proof of traffic lift. Temporary keyed IP hashes and click IDs limit abuse and duplicates, expiring after two and ten minutes; database cleanup depends on cron. RelatIQ stores no raw IP addresses. Other plugins and server logs are outside its control. Disabling reports stops recording; existing data remains until expiry or deletion. Images load from your media, CDN or fallback-image host. Credit, review and license links open external sites when clicked. See Settings > Privacy for policy text and docs/technical-notes.md for technical details. ### Credits Bundled layout preview images and sample article text were created for RelatIQ and are available under GPLv2 or later. Upload the plugin ZIP through Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, or copy the relatiq folder into wp-content/plugins/. 2. Activate RelatIQ and open RelatIQ > Setup guide. 3. Select your content types. Use **Save and choose a design**, preview a layout, choose whether to show credit, and start indexing. 4. Review an article on your site. Adjust the design, editorial picks and placement as needed. 5. Enable reports in Reports if you want engagement measurements. **Quick-start credit behavior:** **Use saved settings and start** enables the public author link to VPNDeals (https://vpndeals.com/), even if previously disabled, and starts indexing. This is explained above the button. To keep credit off, follow step 3. You can also disable it in RelatIQ > Support. Quick start does not enable reports or experiments. Background work needs WP-Cron, server cron or an existing Action Scheduler installation. On a quiet site, use Run next batch or the WP-CLI command in the FAQ. ## FAQ ### Is RelatIQ really free, including reports and all layouts? Yes. Every feature is included, with no premium edition, subscription or paid unlock. Enable optional reports and experiments in settings. ### Can I use pages or custom post types? Yes. Choose eligible public post types in Content. You can set separate types for automatic placement and exclude specific articles. Private and password-protected content is not recommended. ### Can I choose specific articles instead of automatic matches? Yes. Open RelatIQ editorial picks in the article editor, search for articles to pin or exclude, then save. Pinned articles appear first and still follow eligibility rules. ### Why are recommendations missing, or indexing waiting? Open Content health to inspect an article. Check shared content, exclusions, age limits, relevance and fallback settings. Time estimates describe the current indexing step and need enough measured work to appear. If cron is delayed, use Run next batch or run: wp relatiq rebuild –batch-size=50 –with-cache ### Does it work with my theme and caching plugin? Layouts are responsive and inherit theme typography. Check the live page after previewing. RelatIQ caches recommendation IDs and rechecks visibility on render. Purge full- page caches after changing content visibility, display settings or templates. ### Is the public credit required? No. All features work with credit off. Credit defaults off; the Installation shortcut turns it on. Support lets you disable it or choose its destination and label. Credit links use nofollow. After indexing completes, an optional thank-you invitation can enable author credit. Remind me in a month snoozes it for 30 days; Don’t ask again dismisses it. If unanswered, at most one later site-wide administrator reminder appears. Turning credit off also stops further invitations. ### Can I use RelatIQ on multisite, and what happens on deletion? Yes. Each site has its own settings and tables; network setup runs in batches. New sites initialize automatically. Deactivation retains data and cancels jobs. Deletion removes RelatIQ tables, options and editorial metadata across sites.
