Customers buy a product, link their Discord account, and get the roles you chose for it. Discord decides which channels those roles unlock, so your existing server setup stays as it is. After checkout the customer gets an activation link by email and in their “My Account” area. [Website](https://rektification.com/) ### Features * Give one or more Discord roles with any Simple or Variable product in WooCommerce. * Variable product support: set different roles on each variation. * Customers link their Discord account with Discord’s own sign-in, and are added to your server automatically. * Activation email with the customer’s Discord link, also shown in My Account. * A setup wizard to connect your own Discord app and bot. * Members screen: see every linked customer, their roles and history, and check their live Discord status. * Grant or revoke roles by hand, or re-apply a member’s access from their orders. * Works with WooCommerce HPOS. Note: in the free version, roles are not removed automatically. Remove them from the members screen or in Discord. ### Pro version * Automatically removes roles when an order is refunded or cancelled, or a subscription is cancelled or expires. * Use with **Simple Subscription** and **Variable Subscription** products. Works with WooCommerce Subscriptions and Flexible Subscriptions by WP Desk. * Members keep a role while any of their purchases still grants it. * Set an access period on Simple and Variable products, counted from payment, after which the roles are removed. * Choose what happens when a subscriber cancels: keep their roles to the end of the paid period, or remove them straight away. To match a refund policy, remove them straight away only when the cancellation comes within a set number of days of the subscription starting. * An on-hold grace period, so subscribers have time to fix a failed renewal payment before their roles are removed. * Roles come back automatically when a lapsed subscription is paid again. * A daily check compares Discord with your orders: it removes roles that should have ended, retries roles that failed to apply, and flags roles a moderator removed in Discord (or puts them back, if you prefer). * Connect to automation services such as Make or n8n through WooCommerce webhooks, for member connected, role added, role failed and role removed events. ### External services This plugin connects to the Discord API to add customers to your Discord server and to give and remove their roles, based on their WooCommerce orders. * When a customer links their account, they sign in on discord.com. The plugin asks only for their Discord user ID and username, and a temporary access token used once to add them to your server. The token is not stored, and their Discord email is never requested. * To add or remove a role, or check whether a member is still in your server, the plugin sends Discord the customer’s Discord user ID, your server ID and the role ID, authenticated with your bot token. * Your Client ID and Client Secret are sent to Discord when a customer signs in, and when you check them on the Connection tab. The Connection tab also loads your bot’s servers and roles from Discord. * The Connection tab shows your bot’s avatar, which your browser loads from Discord’s image server (cdn.discordapp.com). The plugin includes the Freemius SDK, which shows an opt-in screen after activation. Nothing is sent to Freemius unless you opt in. If you do, it receives your name and email address, your site’s address, title and language, your WordPress, PHP and plugin versions, and whether the plugin is active, as listed on that screen. After activation, the settings are in **Settings > Discord Access** in the wp-admin dashboard. The Connection tab walks you through creating a Discord application and bot and adding the bot to your server. Roles are set per product in the **Discord Access** tab of the **Product data** panel. For variable products, roles are set on each variation. ## FAQ ### Do I need my own Discord bot? Yes. The plugin connects to a Discord application and bot that you create in the Discord Developer Portal. The Connection tab walks you through every step and checks each one. The bot only needs the Manage Roles and Create Instant Invite permissions. ### Which channels do customers get? Whichever channels the role unlocks in your server. You set that up in Discord as usual. The plugin only adds and removes roles. ### Does it work with guest checkout? Yes. Guests connect through the link in their activation email. Customers with an account can also connect from My Account, and can get a fresh link there if the emailed one has expired. ### What happens when an order is refunded or a subscription ends? In the free version, nothing happens automatically: remove the role from the members screen or in Discord. Pro removes it for you, keeps it while another purchase still pays for the same role, and puts it back if a lapsed subscription is paid again. In Pro, a partial refund only removes the roles of the products it refunds in full. Refunding shipping or another item leaves the customer’s roles in place. Refunding a subscription’s order does not end the subscription. Cancel the subscription as well, and Pro removes its roles. ### What if a moderator removes a role in Discord? Pro leaves it removed and marks it “Removed in Discord” on the member, so you can see it and add it back with one click. If you would rather have such roles put back automatically, there is a setting for that. ### What if a customer leaves the server? Their Discord account stays linked. The members screen shows who has left, and the customer can rejoin from the Discord access page in My Account while their access is active. ### Which subscription plugins are supported?
