Upload the `raoa-lms` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install the zip via ** Plugins Add New Upload Plugin**. 2. Activate **Raoa LMS**. 3. LMS pages (Courses, Dashboard, Login, Register, and related) are created automatically when needed. 4. Open **Raoa LMS** in wp-admin to create courses, lessons, and quizzes. 5. Configure **Raoa LMS Settings** (archive filters, brand colors, and pages). 6. Assign the instructor role and publish courses. ## FAQ ### Is this a full enterprise LMS? No. Raoa LMS 1.0 is a **basic LMS**: courses, lessons, quizzes, free enrollment, progress, completion, and an account portal. Paid checkout, certificates, live classes, assignments, drip content, and marketplace payouts are out of scope for this release. ### Do I need a store plugin? No. This version does not sell courses. ### Can guests enroll? No. Students must log in or register before enrolling. ### Does this plugin create or log in users? Yes. It is an LMS, so students need accounts. Registration uses WordPress core ` wp_insert_user()` after the `registration_errors` filter so security plugins can still block signups. Instructor applicants are stored as `subscriber` until an administrator approves them. The plugin never creates administrator accounts. Login uses `wp_signon()` so plugins that hook `authenticate` (limit-login, 2FA) still run. A logged-in user may change their own name, email, and website through` wp_update_user()` after a nonce and `current_user_can( 'edit_user' )`. That call never sets a role or another user’s ID. Own-password changes use `wp_update_user()` then `wp_signon()` with the password they submitted. Lost password uses `get_password_reset_key()`,` check_password_reset_key()`, and `reset_password()`. ### What personal data does the plugin store? * **Enrollments** — user, course, source, dates * **Progress** — completed lessons and quizzes per course * **Quiz attempts** — scores and pass/fail (not answer keys) * **Profile** — biography, designation, expertise, social URLs, and instructor application flags * **Uploads** — profile photo and cover image files owned by the user Use WordPress **Tools Export Personal Data** / **Erase Personal Data**. Raoa LMS registers exporters and erasers for this data. Suggested privacy-policy wording is also added under **Settings Privacy**. ### Does this plugin phone home? No. ### What happens if I uninstall? By default, student and course data are **kept**. Enable **Remove data on uninstall** in Raoa LMS Settings before deleting the plugin if you want options, custom tables, LMS content, plugin roles, and pages this plugin created removed. Existing site pages that were only reused (including the WordPress Privacy Policy page) are not deleted. ### Caching tips? Do not full-page-cache logged-in course player or dashboard pages. ### Do lesson videos use YouTube or Vimeo? Optionally. Raoa LMS stores a video URL on the lesson. Plugin CSS and JavaScript stay local. If an instructor saves a YouTube or Vimeo URL, WordPress oEmbed may load that service’s player on the lesson page.
