## Description

RadarAddress for AcyMailing checks the email addresses of your AcyMailing subscribers,
without leaving AcyMailing.

**At sign-up.** Every new subscriber is checked while the form is sent: a certain
typo is corrected (gmial.com gmail.com), an address that cannot receive mail can
be refused if you want. If RadarAddress does not answer, the subscription goes through
as usual: nobody is ever lost because of us.

**In bulk.** Choose a list and start the check: the addresses are verified in the
background and the outcome is written to each subscriber, even for lists of tens
of thousands of addresses. You see how many are to check, how many already have
an outcome and how many operations you have available before you start.

**What you get**

 * Three custom fields on every subscriber: outcome, original email (when it was
corrected), date of the check. Use them in AcyMailing filters and segments.
 * Certain typos corrected, with the original kept; uncertain ones proposed, never
   applied.
 * Optional: refuse at sign-up the addresses that cannot receive mail, or unsubscribe
them from the lists you choose after a bulk check.
 * In AcyMailing automations: an action that verifies the subscribers matching your
filters, and a filter on the outcome.
 * Interface in thirteen languages (English, Italian, German, French, Spanish, Dutch,
Portuguese, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, Danish, Icelandic, Greek).

**How it works**

 1. Create a free account on radaraddress.com: every month a number of checks is free.
 2. Create an API token in your personal area.
 3. In AcyMailing Add-ons, open the RadarAddress settings, paste the token and press«
    Verify».

Beyond the free checks of the month, packs and monthly subscriptions are on radaraddress.
com. The plugin itself is free.

### External services

This plugin connects to the RadarAddress API, a service run by RadarWave (the author
of this plugin), to verify email addresses. It does nothing until you paste your
own API token in AcyMailing Add-ons RadarAddress.

 * **What is sent and when:** when someone subscribes through an AcyMailing form,
the email address they typed is sent to be checked; when you start a bulk check,
the email addresses of the chosen list, each with its AcyMailing subscriber ID,
are sent as a background job, and the plugin then downloads the results of that
job. Your API token is sent with every request to identify your account. The
settings page also asks the API for the operations still available on your account.
 * **Where:** https://www.radaraddress.com/api/v1/ (the calls are made by your site’s
server; the token never reaches the browser).
 * **Terms of use:** https://www.radaraddress.com/en/terms
 * **Privacy policy:** https://www.radaraddress.com/en/privacy-policy

## Installation

 1. Install and activate AcyMailing (version 10 or later).

## FAQ

### Can a subscription be lost because of the check?

No. If RadarAddress does not answer, or answers with an error, the subscriber is
added as usual, without an outcome. Refusing addresses that cannot receive mail
is an option, off unless you turn it on.

### Does it change the email of a subscriber by itself?

Only for a certain typo, and only if the option is on: the original address is kept
in the «original email» field. Uncertain corrections are only proposed in the outcome.

### Do my subscribers get an email from RadarAddress?

No. The check does not send anything to the address: it looks at the address, the
domain and whether the domain can receive mail.

### What if two subscribers end up with the same address after a correction?

The correction is not applied and the outcome says so: AcyMailing never gets two
subscribers with the same email.

### Is my data kept?

Addresses are processed to give the result and then deleted; the result of a bulk
check is available for 30 days, then deleted. The data stays in the European Union.

## Changelog

#### 1.0.13

 * Settings: the help text of each switch opens right below its icon (it opened
   far from it).

#### 1.0.12

 * Settings: the help icons next to the switches show again with AcyMailing 11,
   which displayed them as code.
 * Bulk check: when the results of a job have just been collected, the count above
is updated (it still said «already with an outcome: 0» and proposed only part
   of the subscribers).

#### 1.0.11

 * Bulk check: «only the first», chosen by itself when the credit does not cover
everyone, goes back to «all of them» when it does; a choice made by hand stays.

#### 1.0.10

 * Counts are written as «label: number» in every language, so they read correctly
with any number (no more «1 subscribers»).

#### 1.0.9

 * The outcome field is always written in English, on every site and with the administration
in any language: one word for each outcome, to filter on. Values already written
in another language are rewritten once.

#### 1.0.8

 * Bulk check: who (all, a list, an AcyMailing segment), in which order (newest
or oldest subscribers, most or least active, latest or oldest open or click,
latest or oldest login to the site on Joomla) and how many: all, only the first
N, or, with a subscription to light checks, a few at a time every month, with
a monthly and an overall limit and a button to stop it. When the credit does
not cover everyone, the check proposes the part it covers or a pack instead of
   stopping.
 * The installed version is shown in the settings and in the bulk check window.
 * The bulk check keeps following a running job: after the start, after reopening
the window and after a missed reply, with the start button disabled until the
   job is done.
 * The outcome field is written in one language for the whole site (the administrator’s),
also for sign-ups from the public site; outcomes already written in another language
are rewritten once, and the counts no longer show the same outcome twice.

#### 1.0.7

 * The WordPress package contains only WordPress code: HTTP calls through the WordPress
   HTTP API, dates, temporary files and file deletion through WordPress functions;
the job results are read with SplFileObject.

#### 1.0.6

 * The automation action and the outcome filter are always declared, with no check
on the AcyMailing edition; the action is no longer offered in AcyMailing scenarios,
which would run it one subscriber at a time.

#### 1.0.5

 * Registered through the AcyMailing integrations hook (AcyMailing 10 or later):
the add-on stays in the plugin folder, nothing is copied elsewhere. Calls through
the WordPress HTTP API. An installation of an earlier version is converted by
   AcyMailing, settings kept.

#### 1.0.4

 * If the site keys change, the saved token is no longer read as random characters:
it is treated as missing and asked again.

#### 1.0.3

 * Works on Joomla 6 without the backward compatibility plugin (same code as the
   WordPress plugin).

#### 1.0.2

 * One click on «Start the check» starts it; the count also says how many subscribers
the list has, how many already have an outcome and how many operations are available.

#### 1.0.1

 * Wider settings card; the browser no longer offers saved passwords in the token
   field.

#### 1.0.0

 * First release: bulk check of subscribers with the outcome in a custom field,
certain typos corrected, optional unsubscription, check at sign-up, automation
   action and filter.
