## Description

Qalyze Website Scanner runs a scan of your site and shows the results right inside
your WordPress dashboard, no need to log in anywhere else. Scan on demand with one
click, or opt in to automatic scanning (monthly free, weekly premium).

**Free features:**

 * On-demand scan (200+ checks: performance, security, SEO, accessibility, legal/
GDPR compliance, and more), or opt in to automatic monthly scans
 * Settings page and WordPress dashboard widget showing your overall score, a category-
   by-category breakdown, and top issues
 * Manual “Scan now” button
 * Country setting for legal checks (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, or
EU general) and a scan report language setting (defaults to your own wp-admin
   language)
 * Optional email summary after each scan, sent to your WordPress admin email
 * “Fix it for me”: one click to ask Qalyze’s team to fix the issues found for you
 * Score trend: see whether your score went up or down since the last scan
 * Site-wide admin notice when a new critical or important issue is found, not just
   on the dashboard
 * Embeddable score badge, as a shortcode ([qalyze_badge]) or a block, linked to
   your full report
 * Shows a Qalyze status check on Tools > Site Health > Status

**Premium features (requires a Qalyze Monitoring or Agency subscription):**

 * Weekly scans instead of monthly
 * Full unlocked report (every issue, not just a preview)
 * Uptime monitoring and SSL expiry alerts
 * PDF report downloads
 * Agency plan: white-labeled with your own agency name and logo instead of “Qalyze”

Upgrade at [qalyze.de](https://qalyze.de).

#### Languages

The plugin interface is available in English, German (Deutsch), and Hungarian (Magyar),
following your WordPress site language. Scan reports are generated in the same language
automatically.

#### Privacy

Scanning a website (200+ automated checks run through a real headless browser) is
processing that can’t be done inside WordPress itself, so this plugin sends your
site’s public homepage URL to the Qalyze service at qalyze.de to run it. Automatic(
recurring) scanning is off by default and only starts once you explicitly turn it
on in the Qalyze Scanner menu; triggering a one-off scan with the “Scan now” button
is its own explicit action. No personal data, page content, files, or credentials
are transmitted. See our [privacy policy](https://qalyze.de/datenschutz) and [terms of service](https://qalyze.de/agb)
for details.

## Blocks

This plugin provides 1 block.

 * Qalyze Score Badge Displays your site's live Qalyze score badge, linked to
   the full report.

## Installation

 1. Upload the plugin files to `/wp-content/plugins/qalyze-scanner`, or install directly
    through the WordPress plugins screen.
 2. Activate the plugin.
 3. (Optional) Go to the new Qalyze Scanner menu item and paste your API key to unlock
    premium features.
 4. Click “Scan now” on the dashboard widget or settings page to run your first scan,
or turn on automatic scanning in the Qalyze Scanner menu.

## FAQ

### Do I need a Qalyze account to use this plugin?

No. The free tier works immediately after activation, no account needed.

### How do I get an API key?

Sign up for Qalyze Monitoring or Agency at [qalyze.de/pricing](https://qalyze.de/pricing#monitoring),
then find your API key in your dashboard under “WordPress Plugin”. Already subscribed?
Sign in at [qalyze.de/monitoring/login](https://qalyze.de/monitoring/login).

### What data does this plugin send to Qalyze?

Only your site’s public homepage URL. Qalyze scans it the same way a visitor’s browser
would, nothing from your WordPress installation itself (files, database, users)
is transmitted. Automatic scanning is off until you explicitly turn it on in the
Qalyze Scanner menu; triggering a scan with the “Scan now” button is its own explicit
action.

### Why does my score stay the same for weeks?

Free-tier scans run monthly. Upgrade to Monitoring or Agency for weekly scans.

## Changelog

#### 1.5.2

 * Fixed: the scan-pending auto-refresh timer now uses wp_enqueue_script()/wp_add_inline_script()
instead of an echoed inline `<script>` tag, per WordPress.org Plugin Review Team
   feedback.

#### 1.5.1

 * Changed: check-count figure in this description and privacy section corrected
to 200+, a number that matches what actually shows up in a scan report rather
than the full internal library of checks the scanner is capable of running.

#### 1.5.0

 * Changed: updated the check-count figure shown in this description and privacy
section (now 250+) to reflect a real, traceable count of the scanner’s checks,
including the WCAG accessibility rule set, instead of an older estimate.

#### 1.4.9

 * Fixed: if qalyze.de couldn’t be reached while saving your API key (a temporary
connection problem, not an invalid key), the plugin previously downgraded your
site to free tier and cleared any agency branding anyway. It now leaves your
premium status and branding untouched on a connection failure and asks you to
   save again to confirm.

#### 1.4.8

 * Fixed: Plugin URI and Author URI were identical, which WordPress.org’s submission
check rejects. Plugin URI now points to the plugin’s own section on qalyze.de
   instead of the site root.

#### 1.4.7

 * Fixed: the admin menu icon could render hugely oversized and clipped into neighbouring
menu rows on some sites, since sizing a plain image icon correctly depends on
wp-admin CSS that isn’t guaranteed everywhere. Now uses WordPress’s dedicated
SVG menu-icon method, which sizes reliably in every setup.
 * Fixed: the admin menu item was positioned at the same slot as WordPress’s own“
Settings” menu, causing visual overlap on some sites. Moved to its own position.

#### 1.4.6

 * Changed: the admin menu icon is now Qalyze’s own logo mark instead of a generic
   dashicon.
 * Fixed: “Auto” scan report language now matches the language you use in wp-admin(
Users > Profile), not the site’s own front-end language. Previously this could
show German report content on a page whose surrounding wp-admin and plugin labels
were in English (or vice versa) whenever those two languages differed.

#### 1.4.5

 * Fixed: the “By Qalyze” author link on the Plugins screen pointed to qavlar.tech
   instead of qalyze.de.

#### 1.4.4

 * Changed: Qalyze now has its own top-level admin menu item instead of living under
Settings, so your scan results are easier to find and check regularly.

#### 1.4.3

 * Fixed: after clicking “Scan now”, the dashboard widget and settings page now
show a spinner and a clear “this usually takes 1-2 minutes” message instead of
a plain, easy-to-miss line of text, and the page refreshes itself automatically
   once the scan finishes.

#### 1.4.2

 * Changed: automatic scanning is now off by default and requires an explicit opt-
in in Settings > Qalyze Scanner. A one-off scan via “Scan now” is unaffected.
 * Changed: scan cadence (weekly premium, monthly free) is now decided entirely
by the Qalyze API from your account’s real subscription state, not by any local
   check in the plugin.
 * Fixed: admin stylesheet is now properly enqueued (wp_enqueue_style/wp_add_inline_style)
   instead of printed inline.
 * Fixed: removed the unneeded load_plugin_textdomain() call (not required for WordPress.
   org-hosted plugins since WP 4.6).
 * Fixed: no longer bundles .po/.mo translation files; WordPress.org serves translations
   via translate.wordpress.org.
 * Added istvanekes to the Contributors list.

#### 1.4.1

 * Fixed: Gutenberg block now declares apiVersion 3, required for the WordPress
   7.0+ iframe block editor.
 * Fixed: readme “Tested up to” bumped to 7.0.
 * Fixed: text domain now matches the plugin slug (qalyze-website-scanner) throughout,
   so translations load correctly.

#### 1.4.0

 * New: Country setting for legal checks (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary,
   or EU general).
 * New: Scan report language setting, defaulting to Auto (follows your WordPress
   site’s language).
 * Fixed: a free-tier scan could incorrectly show the full unlocked report if another
visitor had already purchased a report for the same domain.

#### 1.3.0

 * New: optional “Email me a summary after each scan” setting, sending your score,
category breakdown, and top issues to your WordPress admin email.

#### 1.2.0

 * New: score trend indicator, showing the change since your last scan.
 * New: a site-wide admin notice appears when a new critical or important issue
is found, so it’s not missed even by admins who never open the Dashboard or Settings
   page.
 * New: [qalyze_badge] shortcode and a matching Gutenberg block to embed your live
score badge anywhere on your site, linked to your full report.
 * New: Agency plan keys now white-label the settings page and dashboard widget
with your agency’s own name, logo, and brand colour instead of “Qalyze”.
 * New: a Qalyze status check now appears on Tools > Site Health > Status.

#### 1.1.0

 * After activation, you’re now taken straight to Settings > Qalyze Scanner.
 * Settings page now shows full scan results (score, category breakdown, issues),
not just the API key form.
 * Both the settings page and dashboard widget now show a category-by-category score
breakdown, not just the overall score.
 * New “Fix it for me” button: one click opens a pre-filled email asking Qalyze’s
team to fix the issues found.
 * Clarified how to get an API key: a direct link to Monitoring plans for new users,
alongside the login link for existing subscribers.
 * Redesigned the settings page and dashboard widget with Qalyze’s own visual style.

#### 1.0.0

 * Initial release.
