The plugin provides Publisher Audio controls inside WordPress so that connected publishers can create and manage article audio without leaving their normal publishing workflow. A Publisher Audio account and an active Publisher Audio service plan are required to use the audio generation service. Publisher Audio is designed for publishers, news websites, magazines, blogs and other content-driven WordPress websites that want to offer readers a listen-to-this- article experience. #### External Service This plugin connects to the Publisher Audio service at publisheraudio.com. The external service is required for the plugin’s core functionality. When a site administrator connects the plugin, the plugin communicates with Publisher Audio to authenticate the website and verify the connection. When Publisher Audio functionality is used for an article, information required to provide the service may be transmitted to Publisher Audio. This can include article content and related article information needed to create, identify and manage the associated audio. Audio processing and service-side account functionality are provided by Publisher Audio rather than being performed entirely within the WordPress installation. Use of the service requires a Publisher Audio account and is subject to the Publisher Audio Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Upload the Publisher Audio plugin to WordPress or install it through the WordPress plugin installer when available. 2. Activate Publisher Audio from the Plugins screen. 3. Open the Publisher Audio settings in WordPress. 4. Connect the website using your Publisher Audio credentials. 5. Use the Publisher Audio controls when working with your articles. A Publisher Audio account is required. ## FAQ ### Do I need a Publisher Audio account? Yes. The plugin connects WordPress to the Publisher Audio service and requires a Publisher Audio account. ### Is audio generated by my WordPress server? No. Audio processing is provided by the Publisher Audio service. ### Does the plugin send article information to an external service? Yes. When Publisher Audio functionality is used, information necessary to provide the service may be sent securely to Publisher Audio.
