Log in to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Plugins Add New. 2. Search for “ProofNexus Live Sales Popup & Social Proof”. 3. Click Install Now, then Activate. 4. Go to ProofNexus in the admin menu to configure your popups. **Manual installation** 1. Download the plugin zip file. 2. Navigate to Plugins Add New Upload Plugin in your WordPress dashboard. 3. Select the downloaded zip file and click Install Now. 4. Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu. 5. Go to ProofNexus in the admin menu to configure your popups. **Requirements** * WordPress 5.8 or higher. * PHP 7.4 or higher. * WooCommerce 6.0+ is required only for the Live Sales Popup module. The plugin remains fully usable for custom/manual notifications without WooCommerce installed. ## FAQ ### Does ProofNexus work without WooCommerce? Yes. ProofNexus is fully functional on a standard WordPress site with no WooCommerce installed at all — the Custom Notifications and WordPress Comment modules work independently of WooCommerce, and the settings screen shows a friendly notice (rather than an error) when WooCommerce isn’t active. The Live Sales Popup module specifically requires WooCommerce, since it reads real order data, and simply doesn’t appear as an option until WooCommerce is installed and active. ### Will ProofNexus slow down my site? No. Popup data is served through a small, cache-friendly REST endpoint and the front- end script is loaded asynchronously, so there is no render-blocking impact on page load. ### What visitor or order data is shown in a popup? Only what you configure. For WooCommerce popups you choose a privacy mode: full name, first name plus city, or anonymized city only. No raw order IDs, emails, or addresses are ever included in the popup payload. ### Is ProofNexus free to use? Yes. The Live Sales Popup, WordPress Comment, and Custom Notifications modules are all 100% free and fully functional with no limits.
