History starts at the moment of installation — versions from before the installation do not exist and cannot be recreated. Right after activation the plugin records a base version of every existing product in the background, so even your first edit shows a full comparison. ### Does the plugin back up my images and files? No. The plugin records **references** to images and downloadable files, never copies of the files themselves. If an image is deleted from the media library, the history still shows which image was used. It is not a backup plugin. ### Will it slow down my store? No. The storefront is untouched. Saving a product performs a few milliseconds of extra work, and heavy tasks (like retention cleanup) run in the background. ### What happens to my data when I uninstall the plugin? By default the history stays in the database, so reinstalling brings it back. If you prefer, enable “delete all data on uninstall” in the settings before removing the plugin. ### Is any data sent anywhere? No. The free plugin makes no external connections of any kind and collects no telemetry. ### Are changes written directly to the database (bypassing WooCommerce) detected?
