This plugin connects your PopABot chatbot to your WordPress site with a simple Chatbot ID – no coding required. This plugin is a connector for the PopABot service. Upload the `popabot` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/` 2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress 3. Go to Settings > PopABot 4. Paste your Chatbot ID or full embed code – the widget will be enabled automatically 5. That’s it – your chatbot is now live ## FAQ ### Where do I find my Chatbot ID? Log in to your [PopABot dashboard](https://popabot.com/chatbots), click on your chatbot, and find it in the Embed Code section. You can paste either the raw Chatbot ID or the full embed code snippet – the plugin will extract the ID automatically. ### Do I need a PopABot account? Yes. Create a free account at [popabot.com](https://popabot.com/register) to build and manage your chatbot. ### Does this plugin connect to an external service? Yes. PopABot is a hosted service. The plugin loads the chat widget from PopABot on the front end and verifies the Chatbot ID with PopABot when you save plugin settings. No. The chatbot script loads asynchronously and does not block page rendering. ### Can I show the chatbot on specific pages only? Yes. In Settings > PopABot, choose “Only specific pages” or “All pages except…” and list the page paths. Use * for wildcards (e.g. shop* matches shop and shop/shoes, but not shopping). ### Does it work with WooCommerce? Yes. The chatbot widget works on any WordPress page, including WooCommerce shop and product pages. ### What happens when I deactivate the plugin? The chatbot stops showing immediately. Your settings are preserved so you can reactivate later without re-configuring. ### What happens when I delete the plugin? All plugin settings are removed from the database.
