Configure your station and stream from a dedicated dashboard screen, then place the player anywhere with: ``` [planetachurch_radio_player] ``` #### Included in the Free edition * One live radio stream. * Custom station name. * Custom station logo using the WordPress Media Library or an HTTP/HTTPS image URL. * Polished responsive Card player using the original PlanetaChurch player design. * Play / pause and volume controls. * Optional autoplay and muted start. * Optional Now Playing display. * Icecast metadata support. * SHOUTcast metadata support. * ICY metadata fallback. * Zeno.fm metadata detection/support. * Custom offline message. * No listener analytics or telemetry sent to PlanetaChurch. * No remotely loaded JavaScript or CSS libraries. #### PlanetaChurch Radio Player Pro The settings screen also shows previews of capabilities available in the separate PlanetaChurch Radio Player Pro plugin, including advanced visual customization, multiple/backup streams, HLS/m3u8, Full Bar and floating layouts, Global Player, and Social Drawer controls. Those previews are informational. The WordPress.org package does not contain the premium implementation, a premium license validator, or code that becomes functional after payment. The Pro edition is distributed separately by PlanetaChurch. #### External services This plugin connects to external services only as required for the radio stream and metadata selected by the site administrator. 1. **Administrator-configured stream and metadata provider** When visitors play the station, their browsers connect directly to the Stream URL configured by the site administrator. The WordPress server can also make HTTP requests to the configured Stream URL and optional Metadata URL to determine stream availability and retrieve Now Playing information. The destination is chosen by the site administrator. The selected streaming/metadata provider may receive normal connection information such as IP address, user agent, and request headers according to that provider’s own terms and privacy policy. If the administrator enters an externally hosted logo URL instead of choosing an image from the WordPress Media Library, visitors’ browsers request that image from the selected image host. 1. **Zeno.fm** When a Zeno.fm stream is configured and a separate metadata URL is not supplied, the plugin may derive and request a Zeno.fm metadata endpoint in order to retrieve the current track title. Install the ZIP from **Plugins > Add Plugin > Upload Plugin**, or upload the `planetachurch- radio-player` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`. 2. Activate **PlanetaChurch Radio Player**. 3. Open **Radio Player** in the WordPress dashboard. 4. In **General**, enter the station name and choose a station logo. 5. In **Stream**, enter the direct Stream URL and an optional Metadata URL. 6. In **Now Playing**, choose whether current-track metadata should be displayed. 7. Add `[planetachurch_radio_player]` to a page, post, or compatible widget area. ## FAQ ### Which stream URLs can I use? Use a direct browser-compatible HTTP or HTTPS audio stream. HTTPS is recommended on HTTPS WordPress sites to avoid mixed-content blocking. MP3 and AAC streams are common choices. ### Which metadata systems are supported? The Free edition can read common Icecast, SHOUTcast, ICY, and Zeno.fm metadata responses. Metadata availability depends on the streaming provider and how the station server is configured. ### Can I use my own station logo? Yes. Choose an image from the WordPress Media Library or enter an HTTP/HTTPS image URL. If no custom logo is selected, the bundled default logo is used. ### Is the Player Design tab functional in Free? The Free edition uses the polished default Card design. The Player Design screen previews advanced controls available in the separate Pro plugin. Premium design code is not included in the WordPress.org package. ### What are the Position and Social Buttons screens? They preview Pro capabilities such as Full Bar, floating players, Global Player, and Social Drawer. They are informational previews in the WordPress.org edition. ### Does this plugin send analytics to PlanetaChurch? No. The WordPress.org edition contains no PlanetaChurch listener analytics or telemetry system. ### Does this plugin contain a Pro license key field? No. Premium licensing and premium functionality are part of the separately distributed Pro plugin, not this WordPress.org package. ### Why does autoplay sometimes not start? Modern browsers can block autoplay, especially autoplay with sound. Starting muted can improve compatibility, but the browser controls the final behavior. ### Does the plugin load JavaScript or CSS from a CDN?
