This plugin is very old and is no longer maintained.
The Email Submit plugin allows you to acccept email submissions on your site, and store those in your WordPress database. You can access these files in comma delimited form via the plugins admin page (under settings).

- Why can’t the plugin do X, Y or Z?
Because this was designed as an uber small lightweight solution. If you would like more functionality, perhaps try the WP Email Capture plugin.
- Will you be adding feature X, Y or Z in a future version of the plugin?
- Why should I use this plugin?
If you want a simple yet lightweight way of collecting emails from your site in an email friendly format.
- Does it work for WordPress version x.x.x?
We only support the latest stable version of WordPress. All other versions you must use at your own risk.
- Why isn’t the plugin in my language?
The plugin supports localization using PO and MO files. If you provide a translation I am more than happy to include it in future releases. If you’ve translated the plugin please let us know by posting in our support forum.
This plugin is great. All I needed was something that allowed visitors to enter their email addresses, put those addresses into a list, without taking up a lot of space on my website, and respected the colors of the theme of my website. This plugin does those things.
I spent several hours trying out several plugins to do this. Most of them offer unlimited this that and the other thing and also make pancakes and walk your dog. But they weren't really that easy to set up since they were complicated, and looked big and clumsy on my website. Also most of them were supposed to send an email to me with the visitors' information, which isn't very useful to me. And, actually, most of them didn't work anyway. I was left scratching my head wondering where the data I had entered was, or looking at emails that were simply blank.
Obviously I'll use this as long as it works. Sometimes simplicity is all that is needed.
